Bansko received perfect marks for the Junior World Championships
Bansko and the Bulgarian Ski Federation were praised for the perfect organization of the 2021 FIS Junior World Alpine Skiing Championships.
This is proof that Bulgaria is ready to host the World Cup finals or the World Alpine Championship.
"You deserve a 10 out of 10 for all that you have done" said Jordi Pujol from FIS, who oversaw the event. " Everything for the competitors and teams during the 10 days in Bansko was fantastic. The slopes, the hotel and logistics.
The 2021 BanskoWorldCup was the biggest sporting event in the country for the year and after that the the Junior World Alpine Skiing Championships was the first such event to be hosted by the country.

- 60 competitors from 20 national for the World Cup
- 150 technical personal for the World Cup
- 180 competitors from 44 nations for the JWC
- 300 technical personal for the JWC
- 1500 accreditations issued for both events
- 60 volunteers
- 300 people taking care of the slope

- 7 snow groomers
- 100 people TV crew
- 50 people in the medical and rescue team
- 3000 covid tests
- 5,5 million BGN budget for the two events
