The iLumen European Solar Challenge is the only 24-hour solar car endurance race in the world. Join as a team or volunteer: europeansolarchallenge.eu

Experience innovation and endurance at Circuit Zolder, 19–20 September 2026.

💡 Want to be part of it? The European Solar Challenge (ESC) consists of several segments which together create the ESC. The main part of the Challenge is a full-day endurance race where power consumption is tested as well as teamwork and racing strategies. In addition to this ‘Long-Run’, different smaller challenges crea

te an all-round exciting and inspiring event. All of these aspects will be considered when determining the winner of the ESC 2022. The challenge will take place from the 16th- 18th of September 2022 on the Race circuit in Zolder, Belgium. It is the perfect opportunity for you to compete and compare your team with others as well as strengthening the SolarCar-Network by exchanging experiences and creating bonds with teams from all over the world.
