FCI Youth The FCI Youth Initiative for young dog-lovers worldwide

In 2014, the FCI launched the FCI Youth; an initiative created to encourage future generations in the work of protection and well-being of Dogs worldwide. The FCI General Committee appointed five young representatives from around the world to develop and share the FCI initiatives towards the youth community. Each of the five elements of the FCI Youth group work as an ambassador for a set of select

ed countries that are part of every FCI section, according to their geographical location. One of the main objectives of the of FCI Youth is to encourage FCI member National Canine Organisations in the foundation of youth groups in their country, and to support already existing Youth groups in National Canine Organisations. It is the FCI Youth´s responsibility to create educational cynological content for National Youth Organisations, young adults, young professionals, and for the general public. The FCI Youth is a global network of Dog-Youth communities and a source of encouragement for ALL Cynological activities for young dog-loving adults and professionals worldwide. FCI Youth Ambassadors

The loss of our daily routines as we knew them, and the threat of more serious casualties to come from COVID-19, has put a serious emotional strain on all of us. So perhaps it should come as no surprise to see social media feeds flooded with photos and videos of cats, dogs, and other companion animals. Pets provide nonjudgmental emotional support, and studies show that contact with pets help reduces stress and anxiety, particularly when you are experiencing a stressful situation.

Our furry friends may be enjoying our social distancing a whole lot more than we are, but their presence is extremely important -- psychologists explain the power of the pet.

Fran Beltran (Spain) works as a dog trainer. He dedicates himself to training privately owned dogs and also works often in the training of Police dogs. Fran lectures in seminars and in specialisation courses for professionals in the canine sector. What he enjoys the most about his job is to be able to train professionals, as well as the training of working and utility dogs, whether they are competition or police dogs that are going to work in the street and with people. Since this is where the importance of the work that a well-trained dog can perform is really reflected.
During his free time, Fran usually competes in Mondioring, but he also enjoys taking long walks in nature with his dogs. When he takes part of Mondioring competitions, Fran takes advantage of his free time to go to other training circuits and tracks, with his team to train their dogs, providing them with a change in their environment. After training with his team, they often have a meal together in the outdoors, enjoying quality time with each other and with their dogs.
