ISR FireFlash

ISR FireFlash is a Belgian "amateur" Formation Skydiving team, aiming to be one of worlds top teams. Outdoor they will train at PCV dropzones.

After the 2016 season, several Belgian teams disbanded and team Thund8rBirds (8-way team consisting of HayaBusa and Thunder ISR) decided to ask Glenn and Maya to join them and form a team. The new Belgian 8-way team will be named: FLY-IN MACHINE 44. Besides doing 8-way with HayaBusa (current World Champions in FS4), the four other team members will also focus on 4-way. As this 4-way team is suppor

ted by Indoor Skydive Roosendaal, you can find them over there for indoor training and you can join the tunnel camps they will organise at ISR!

The ISR Fireflash tunnel thursdays will be available again in 2025.

This means that on every thursday we are available for all sorts of Formation skydive coaching. Whether you want to participate alone, with a friend or with your team. We'll figure out a formula to make the best out of it.

📣ＩＳＲＦＩＲＥＦＬＡＳＨ－ＰＲＯＪＥＣＴ＇２５ 📣

Zoals we reeds eerder schreven, maakt Sven Ibens helaas niet langer deel uit van ISR FireFlash. We missen hem nu al enorm en een waardige vervanger vinden, wordt alles behalve een makkelijke taak. Toch kijken we met vertrouwen naar de toekomst en na menige brainstorms hebben we dan ook een plan van aanpak klaar. Een plan waar we met veel goesting mee aan de slag willen gaan!

Ben je een gepassioneerde 4-way flyer? Heb je interesse in belly flying, maar nog geen 4-way ervaring? Spring je al wat langer, of ben je nog maar net uit AFF? Potentieel komt iedereen in aanmerking. Ervaring in 4-way is een voordeel maar geen vereiste. De zin om jezelf hierin te verdiepen wel. Onze voorkeur gaat uit naar kandidaten die voor België kunnen uitkomen, aangezien we als Belgisch team graag willen deelnemen aan internationale wedstrijden en ons land op die manier mee op de kaart willen zetten.

De grote lijnen van het project staan vast, de exacte invulling zal afhangen van de kandidaten. Met zekerheid wordt het een project op langere termijn. De geselecteerde kandidaten zullen op regelmatige basis met ons óf onder onze begeleiding 4-way vliegen. Op die manier leren we elkaar beter kennen en ontdek je of het teamspringen écht jouw passie is of kan worden.

Op die manier hopen we uiteindelijk om doorheen volgend seizoen ISR FireFlash 3.0 tot leven te brengen!

Last month, ISR FireFlash competed at the ESL in Saarlouis, Germany. This event was very special for us. Not only because it was the only outdoor competition we joined in 2024. Not only because it marked the first outdoor event with Lena on the team. But most importantly, because it was the very last competition with our beloved teammate and friend Sven, who has decided to leave the ISR FireFlash project.

While we are deeply saddened by Sven’s departure, we wholeheartedly respect his decision to step back from training and competing at this level. We knew at the beginning of the year that this season would be our last together, but the reality of this moment is still sinking in. After thousands of jumps, hundreds of tunnel hours, and countless shared memories, it feels surreal to conclude this chapter of our journey 🥺

On a positive note, we are proud of our performance, scoring a solid 18.8! While some jumps were stellar and others less so, we believe this score accurately reflects our current level as a team.

A huge congratulations and thank you to the Qatar Lions and especially to Airbus for an outstanding competition, winning gold and silver, respectively. While we took the bronze, we truly enjoyed every moment competing against you all. A big shout-out also goes to our friends from Ayro and Falco, who both represented Belgium with impressive results.

As we close this chapter, we want to thank Sven for all the unforgettable moments we shared. Your dedication, support, and passion for the sport have left an indelible mark on our team. We are incredibly grateful for everything you’ve done for ISR FireFlash and for the memories that will last a lifetime. Wishing you all the best in your future adventures! 🙏

With sadness, we must inform you that ISR FireFlash will not be participating in the Belgian Championship FS4 this year. Unfortunately Ludo Ibens, Sven's father, has recently passed away.

We fully support the Ibens family during this challenging time and we are wishing them lots of strength in this difficult period.

We appreciate your understanding and ask for your continued support for both Sven’s family and the team. ❤️

Even though we're not to competing in 4-way, we've decided to build a pick up team in FS8 together with our friends of team Ayro and HayaBusa NMP Pch's, David Grauwels.

Thank you for your compassion and wish us luck in the hunt to become Belgian 8-way champion 2024! 😉

Last weekend we competed in the WindGames, one of the best indoor competitions, which is back after a 3-year break! After a rather slow start on the first few rounds, we managed to bring in some speed at the second part of day 1. Day 2 started with 2 bad rounds, making mistakes we should have been able to avoid. This leaves us with an unfulfilled feeling. However, we take this as a lesson and know what to work on towards the next competition. That being said, we are still pleased with our 27.7 average. 🤩
We finished the competition with a solid 10th round. Enjoy the video!

We had a blast at the ISR Grand Prix, last Saturday! Indoor Skydive Roosendaal did a great job, hosting a smoothly running meet! We flew a quite consistent competition, which resulted in a gold medal🥇Happy with our performance ☺️

Congrats to Out of the Blue for taking the silver and Echochamber Stars finishing 3rd. Hats off to HayaBusa NMP Pch for their first competition after Ray stepping in only 2 months ago! It definitely looked super promising! 💪

Unfortunately we are not able to participate in the Belgian Nationals in 2 weeks 😕 The next competition for us will be the WindGames at the end of February, in Empuriabrava.

We are very grateful to everyone who encouraged and supported us! Means so much to us! You guys rock! 🥰
