HOW SHOULD I TRAIN WHEN RETURNING TO THE GYM?

With everyone having different goals and styles, you should resume your training in much the same way as you have done before. Although for the first 1-3 weeks, starting from an RPE level (Rate of Perceived Exhaustion) of 5-7. There is no need to rush to regain your 1 rep max on the bench press in the first session back, as that could lead to at best frustration and at worst injury. Instead, look to train how you enjoy with slightly less resistance than normal and focus on gradually increasing each time as you regain your fitness. Before you know it, your strength and fitness level will return back and you will be well on track to making more improvement!

TRAINING ADAPTABILITY -

- We know there are 3 factors to progressing in the gym strength wise. Time under tension, weight, volume. Now with no spotting partner and not the best equipment I can't go heavy or incorporate "forced reps" pushing TUT. So I have to supplement massive volume in. 5-8 sets each exercise. Adapt your training, and go with what feels good. Everyone has different preferences!

Which are your weaknesses and strengths?

- In terms of building a physique, often the muscle that will grow the largest is the one you feel the best connection with. As that means you get a better contraction and therefore better session. This can also be due to your genetics and how your body is! If you have great insertions you can probably stretch and contract the muscle better than most people.
