🔹 We all start somewhere and this is where our story begun in 1988. A small tribute to this beautiful mare, Jade. 🔹

In the spring of 1988, Didier & Ingrid (founders of Het Indihof) bought their first horse, Jade. She was a two year old mare by Lys de Darmen. As this young mare turned out to be an excellent jumper, the owners decided to start breeding with her because in the equestrian sport ‘one is none’, right? And this is where it all begun. At first, Jade herself competed in regional and national classes, first under the saddle of Didier and later on under the saddle of Valentijn De Bock with whom she won ‘de Beker van Oost-Vlaanderen’ in 1997. From 2000, she was assigned to be a full-time mommy and gave birth to one foal a year until 2005 when sadly enough, she passed away at the age of 19.

Jade was mother to Uttah vh Indihof (f. Heartbreaker), Skelton vh Indihof (f. Elton - 1m40 w. Grant Wilson NZL 🇳🇿), Candra vh Indihof (f. Rubens du Ri d’Asse - 1m45 w. Salvatore Lodato ITA 🇮🇹) and Dammaz vh Indihof (f. Orlando - 1m50 w. João Pedro de Souza BRA 🇧🇷).

She was grandmother to Ballade vh Indihof (f. Thunder vd Zuuthoeve - 1m60 w. Brianne Goutal USA 🇺🇸), Kimba Flamenco (f. Je t’Aime Flamenco - 1m60 w. Billy Twomey IRL 🇮🇪), Dior vh Indihof (f. Rubens du Ri d’Asse - 1m50 w. Koen Vereecke BEL 🇧🇪 & Melisa Orifici Garcia ARG 🇦🇷), Fantast vh Indihof (f. Toulon - 1m45 w. Yentl Baert BEL 🇧🇪 - 1m60 w. Erynn Ballard CAN 🇨🇦 & Adrienne Sternlicht USA 🇺🇸) and Garkus vh Indihof (f. Toulon - 1m50 w. Frederic Vernaet BEL 🇧🇪 & Denis Lynch IRL 🇮🇪- 1m60 w. Theodore Boris ISR🇮🇱).

She was great grandmother to Elky vh Indihof (f. Toulon - 1m60 w. Lorenzo De Luca ITA 🇮🇹 & Kevin Staut 🇫🇷).

Without her, we might not even have been talking about Het Indihof today. 💫
