The FSY Defence FSX-1 test samples are in, and first impressions are exactly what you hope for.
Balance feels right in hand, controls are smooth, nothing rough or unfinished about it.

The trigger deserves its own paragraph. Crisp break, clean reset, exactly what a 2011 platform gun should feel like. Not every manufacturer nails that on a first sample.

CIP testing is next. After that, this one’s heading straight to the range.

A Turkish-made pistol beat G***k, SIG, FN, Walther and Smith & Wesson in a 90,000-round military endurance trial. Read that again. Then the factory decided that wasn't enough proof, and ran the Gen3 platform out to 150,000 rounds before it was done.

That's the part people miss when they hear "made in Turkey" and assume budget corner-cutting. It's the opposite. Building for military and police contracts at that scale means every weak part gets found and fixed before it ever reaches a shelf. That reputation isn't going anywhere; if anything it's just getting started.

About last night.

Several boxes of ammo went through the Barak MTX9 with the Vortex Defender CCW. Zero held, no issues, exactly as expected. That's what good prep looks like on the range.

The ETX9 was there too — getting a proper feel for that slide under real conditions was the other goal. It also got some looks from others at the range. Can't say we minded. 😏
