This one glows — and there's a reason for that.

The Speras S11 Photoluminescent housing absorbs ambient light and glows when you move into sudden darkness — so you can find it before you even switch it on. Switch to UV mode and the housing lights up under its own built-in UV sidelight.

About last night.

Several boxes of ammo went through the Barak MTX9 with the Vortex Defender CCW. Zero held, no issues, exactly as expected. That's what good prep looks like on the range.

The ETX9 was there too — getting a proper feel for that slide under real conditions was the other goal. It also got some looks from others at the range. Can't say we minded. 😏

Getting a test gun ready has a rhythm to it. The Barak MTX9 is optic cut ready from the factory — the Vortex Defender CCW drops straight in. No adapter, no modification, no play between optic and slide.

Torque matters on an optic mount. Not too little, not too much. Fix It Sticks takes that variable off the table.

There's a category of pistol that rarely gets talked about — the ones that do everything right and just don't carry a fashionable name yet. The Sarsilmaz SAR9 Gen3 is sitting squarely in that space.

It's been making serious inroads in the US market. Solid construction, honest pricing, and it lands below Canik without giving anything up where it counts. The titanium finish doesn't hurt either — it photographs well and looks even better in hand.

Black and titanium, both just arrived at Btactical and heading into CIP testing. Worth watching.
