👩‍🏫👩‍🏫Friday is not Friday without our "Famous High Performer and Funambulists in the History", this time we are going to talk about an Australian artist🇦🇺.

Henri L'Estrange, known as the , was a successful funambulist.
Modeling himself on the famous French funambulist Charles , L'Estrange performed a number of tightrope walks in the 1870s, culminating in three walks 🏃‍♂️⚓️🏃‍♂️⚓️🏃‍♂️⚓️across Sydney's Middle Harbour in 1877.

In December 1882, he even attempted the crossing on a special bicycle🚴‍♂️, adapted to grip the tightrope – although on that occasion he fell off, into the waters 🌊of Middle Harbour, where he was rescued by a row-boat.🛶🛶

He remains the only tightrope performer ever to have walked across a part of Sydney Harbour. 🤩🤩

An other woman today for our "Famous High Performer and Funambulists in the History".

Bird🐦 was one of the most celebrated high-wire performers of all time. During the “Golden Age of the American Circus” 🇺🇸🎪 she was a premiere attraction with the Ringling Bros & Barnum & Bailey Circus. But her major stardom was the result of her feats of balance high above the streets of New York.

Bird🐦 was acclaimed for her unusual speed 🏃‍♀️🗯and seemingly effortless grace, she employed a parasol 🌂☂️for balance.
