Deadlines, to-do lists, actions, goals, expectations, judgement. Doing, and always doing more, faster, better… ⚡️

However, time flies when you are … not paying attention!

Sometimes, all we need is a reminder to pause, breathe, enjoy. Observe your sensations, feelings, thoughts. Center yourself on what really matters. Be compassionate to yourself. Allow yourself to be: present, in the moment, in your body. And let it go. 🧘🏽‍♀️

M O V E M E N T 🙌🏼

Moving is good for you 💛 (for your body, your brain 🧠, your well-being - scientifically proven). You knew it, right? Yet we do not move enough in our modern lives, sit a lot, drive everywhere. Or we make it too complicated and call it “exercise” 🤷🏻‍♀️…
You don’t have to go to the gym or for a run in order to move. It’s not about pushing hard and exhausting yourself. It can be (almost) effortless. Just stand-up more, walk , dance 🕺🏽💃 in your kitchen, stretch - a few times daily. Even a minute is enough to get the benefits!

What is your main (yoga) goal? Flexibility? Strength? An incredibly Instagram-able back-bend / split / arm balance / fill the blank? Will you be happier when you reach it?
What if contentment was to be found along the journey, and not only at its end, when the objective is met? That’s something I tend to forget (you as well?)… Just be with what is, in the moment, in the movement.

One year of teaching yoga! To my friends - first students ever ❤️ & also to colleagues.
Mostly virtual sessions, in unprecedented times. After office hours. Sometimes with a singing cat 🐈‍⬛ in the background.
Happy to be guiding you through this practice, which has so many benefits - physical, mental... And grateful to keep progressing myself 🧘🏽‍♀️ Thanks for your trust, energy, enthusiasm!

B R E A T H I N G F R E S H AIR ✨
Thursday evening, 18h59. Apologetically exiting my last meeting of the day, which was about to overrun. 1 minute before my weekly yoga class, clearly not in the mood for teaching, swiftly changing clothes 😣
19h00. Sitting on my mat, welcoming my friends and students. Aiming at shifting my focus from past or future (work) concerns to being here, now... Not yet there 😳
A few breaths later. Lifting my hips to my first down dog. Smiling, pushing in my hands against the mat, looking towards my feet, leading my virtual class. Grounded 😌
It never takes long for me to move from “I don’t feel like it” to “yay, I’m better now” when I unroll my mat. Same effect as a breath of fresh air.
This is why I practice, and want to share yoga with others. Simple yet powerful 🙏🏼🧘🏽‍♀️
