La maîtrise des noeuds.., Mouais, mais non pour ce stage au Japon

👀 We are currently caught in a unique celestial embrace: our planet is at its closest to the Sun, while the Moon is nearly at its closest to us.

Here is the breakdown of this "Double Perigee" event:

1. Earth at Perihelion (Closest to Sun) ☀️

At approximately 17:15 UTC today, Earth swings to its nearest point in its orbit around the Sun, known as Perihelion. We are roughly 3 million miles closer to our star now than we will be in July.

2. The Wolf Supermoon (Closest to Earth) 🌕

Coinciding with Perihelion, the Moon is reaching its Full phase while near perigee (its closest approach to Earth). This makes it the first Supermoon of 2026, traditionally called the Wolf Moon.

🌌 The event is visible globally. The best view is tonight at moonrise, occurring shortly after sunset in your local time. Look to the Eastern horizon to see the "Moon Illusion," where the Supermoon will look massive against the landscape. The Moon is at its brightest phase (Full), near its closest distance (Perigee), and is reflecting sunlight from a Sun that is at its closest distance to Earth (Perihelion).

🌊 Tides on the Rise
With both the Sun (at perihelion) and the Moon (full and near perigee) combining their gravitational pull, perigean spring tides, often called King Tides, are likely over the next few days, bringing some of the highest tides of the year to coastal regions.
