CYCLE FLANDERS FIELDS
The Cycle Flanders Fields is centralized around the stunning seaside town of Nieuwpoort and sits just 40 minute from Calais. Offering 3 incredible distances to athletes of all abilities, the 45km, 90km and world class 180km courses, are unique 1 lap events absorbing everything the historic west of Belgium has to offer. hent-Wevelgem’ course. It's your chance to follow in your hero's footsteps attempting the famous "cobbled streets" and the celebrated Kemmelberg. Starting and finishing in the city centre, riders head southwest following the World War 1 front line toward Diksmuide, Ypres and the sobering Menin Gate. De gloednieuwe wielertoertocht Cycle Flanders Fields is onderdeel van Long Course Weekend België en is een uniek fietsevenement over 3 afstanden (45km, 90km, 180km). Met als uitvalsbasis Nieuwpoort gaan de parcoursen richting Westhoek. Het 180km parcours gaat een stuk over het parcours van de World Tour Klassieker Gent-Wevelgem inclusief passage over de Kemmelberg. Na de start aan de vismijn in Nieuwpoort gaat het richting Diksmuide, Ieper (de Menenpoort) om dan langs verschillende oorlogsmonumenten en de Franse grens terug richting Belgische kust te draaien.
