BEYOND THE GAME.
We come from two different worlds.
Joerik has spent years exploring how we develop players and coaches.
Aïcha has spent years exploring how we understand ourselves, others and life.
And over the past months, through many conversations about coaching, people, growth and life, we started realizing how connected those two worlds actually are.
Because becoming a better coach isn’t only about knowing more.
It’s also about understanding yourself.
Understanding people.
Becoming aware of your patterns and reactions.
How you communicate.
How you build relationships.
How you show up when there is pressure.
So we created Beyond The Game.
Four days in Athens where we step away from the usual coaching environment and explore the human side of coaching.
Coaching and leadership.
Culture and practice environments.
Human behaviour and psychology.
Relationships and communication.
Awareness and self-reflection.
Meditation and breathwork.
Deep conversations, different perspectives and practical tools.
Not another coaching clinic.
A carefully designed journey with 10–12 coaches from different sports, sharing one house, learning from each other and experiencing Athens together — including Olympiacos vs Partizan.
