Stephex is a name that is recognized everywhere. Some of the world’s finest horses are brought here in order to realize their potential, going on to glory. While still at school, he spent his lunchbreaks trading. Stephex Stables came into being in 1986, operated from a stable in Londerzeel, Belgium, but it soon outgrew its premises, moving to
Essen in 1990. Five years’ later, Stephan took the decision to buy a 12-acre/hectare plot of land in Wolvertem to build his own infrastructure. The Stables are still based there today. It was at this point that Stephan decided to focus solely on high-quality jumpers and hunters to be sold internationally. VALUES
The expansion of the Stephex Stables over the years has always remained in line with the Stephex spirit and values: quality, elegance, innovation and modernity. FACILITIES
The facilities at the Stephex Stables are of the very highest quality. The premises now covers 35 hectares. The fields have been levelled and fenced, and are surrounded by a race track. The grass footings have been filled with crushed lava and are accessible all year. These improvements and renovations provide a calm, safe environment to work the horses in the best way possible and to ensure they are ready to be shown at the correct level.
