Nomads on Wheels stands for 2 friends travelling the world on wheels. In March 2018 we start our Pan American Highway journey from Canada to Argentina.

After just concluding a 2000km motorcycle journey through the Himalayas in India we are busy with the preperations for a 30,000km Expedition on the Pan American Highway. Nomads on Wheels is the page that we will feed with our adventures and interesting information during our journey over the Pan American Highways starting March 2018.

After having completed the Stoneman Arduenna route a few months ago, we decided that, for our final shakedown trip, we had to ride the Stoneman Miriquidi route. 170km, 4500VertM in 2 days. New General Grabber AT3 tires were fitted and we drove to the border of Czech. Great trip and the Ore-Mountain region is cool to explore. From riding the mountainbikes up via a 120 year old bobsled track (Pöhlberg) to the 3 bikeparks, and the many small cool skiresorts. This was definitely a trip worth the drive! Shout out to the , nice place to stay. Brand new and cool camper parking facilities! ✌🏽🫶🏽

A couple of years ago we rode parts of the Stoneman trail in the Dolomites, this time we headed over to Belgium to ride the Stoneman Arduenna trail. 2 days, 160km and about 4000 altitude meters. Stunning weather and actually a lot of fun near home. This week will travel to the boarder of Czech for the Stoneman Miriquidi. Similar distance but closer to ‘real’ mountains. This will be the final shakedown trip of the camper ✌🏽

Last weekend it was finally time to upgrade the MB stock halogen headlights, foremost reason is the horrible light projection and the looks aren’t great either..
We went for the Alpharex Nova black series option, these US produced looks fit our set-up great. They aren’t cheap, but boy the van gained some personality!
Thanks for shipping and providing their import/dealer support for these units.
We are looking forward to test these on many dark trails in conjunction with the Strands Big Energy Led spots.

Great little bbq from Camping Moon. Super nice and foldable RVS solution for a space constraint camper like ours. We will use this as fire pit when we can use the ground as one.

During pur laat shakedown trip we visited Vogelsang in the German Nationalpark Eifel (very near Aachen). This historic NSB political trainings camp is impressive and very well conversed. Highly recommend the visit! It has a brand new camper overland location next to the site.

Last month we upgraded our suspension set up. Where the stock Sprinter / Hymer set up was too soft in the rear, we bottomed out many times. Overland Campers replaces all of our shocks and installed Proyet 4x4’s Advance kit with coilovers in the back. These came with a serious reinforcement package for the chassis to cope with the difference in forces. Results are amazing, cant wait to full load the van up and experience some proper offroad with this set up!

Wintertesting completed in Breuil Cervinia, we spend 3 nights at 2100mtrs altitude while skiing in the Cervinia Ski resort and crossed into Zermatt one day. Nights were up to -15c but all was comfi and good! Upgrades are getting along nicely, see other photo for starting point.
