After last year's success, we'll be present once again at Mysteria FantasyFair Belgium to swing our longswords about!

Happy New Year!

On Thursday 9/1 we will have our first training of 2025. Due to the exams we will not provide the regular training. Instead we propose open sessions: Anyone can ask about topics they would like to work on and we will provide you exercises! Advanced members with gear are free to spar.

Regular training will resume 13/02 when the exams are finished.

Note: if you already have questions or topics: let us know. Then we can prepare.

Good News Everyone!

As announced before, Keysers Ghesellen will continue this year as Invirtus Leuven, and we now have the final practical details figured out.

Classes will be very similar to previous years:
- Same sportshall in Leuven (VTI Hall 2, https://www.leuven.be/sporthal-vti)
- Same time (Thursday nights 7-9PM)
- Mainly introductory classes aimed at students

The first class will be on Thursday September 26!

After this, there will be training every Thursday until 19 December (with the exception of the "herfstvakantie" week).

If you have your own gear, feel free to bring it, but the club also provides basic training sword simulators so anyone can join! Make sure to wear appropriate sports clothing and shoes fit for indoor sporting hall floors!

As detailed at https://www.invirtus.be/en/club/, every new member gets 3 free "practice" sessions. After this, you're expected to pay the membership fee (per 3 months or per year).

Hello everyone!

As you may have heard, there will be some changes for Keysers Ghesellen in the near future.

The club will cease to exist under its current name and will instead become the Leuven branch of another HEMA club: Invirtus (https://www.invirtus.be).

This decision was made because the current Keysers Ghesellen instructors were unable/unwilling to continue providing classes from September onwards, and asked Invirtus to take over.

For the members, this means some things will change:
- New trainers, under the direction of Koen van Gorp (one of the current senior members)
- An increase in the membership fee (from 35 euro/6 months to 90 euro/year OR 30 euro/3 months, as is the Invirtus default)
- Access to Invirtus communication channels (Facebook private group + WhatsApp community)
- Access to other Invirtus trainings (Aarschot on Sundays, Hasselt on Tuesdays) and Invirtus events (for example: our yearly training weekend and tournament)

However, most practical things should remain the same:
- Same sportshall in Leuven (VTI Hall 2, https://www.leuven.be/sporthal-vti)
- Same time (Thursday nights 7-9PM)
- Mainly introductory classes aimed at students

Further practical details (such as the date of the first class) will be coming in the next weeks, so keep an eye on this page!
