Was I dreaming? Because sometimes I still can’t believe this place is real…

Emerald-blue water, mountains all around, and a kind of peace I didn’t even know I needed. 🥹✨

Life can be so loud and hectic, your mind constantly running from one thing to another… but here, everything just went quiet.

For a moment, it felt like the world stopped turning. No rush. No worries. Just being there, taking it all in. 💙

Some places you visit… others you feel.
And Slovenia? I felt this one deeply.

I run, I cycle, I swim — and all of it brings me peace and gives me an escape. Or at least, that’s what I thought…

What you don’t see is the doubt, the panic, and the fear of stepping into open water as a beginner.

The racing heart.
The struggle to control your breathing.
The fight-or-flight response kicking in before you even start swimming.

And that’s okay.

It’s okay to be afraid.
It’s okay to doubt yourself.
It’s okay to feel insecure.

Progress isn’t always calm, graceful, or perfect.

Sometimes progress looks like showing up while you’re scared.

So while fear deserves space, don’t forget to make room for pride too.

Because despite everything you felt… you still did it.
