We wish to advise all sailors that the Hobie Worlds event management team have had to make a difficult decision regarding the date of the 23rd Hobie 16 World Championships. In the best interest for the sailors, families, staff, travel, and our sponsors the Hobie 16 Worlds will be delayed till 15-29 September 2022. This is explained in section 5 of the Notice of Race https://hobieworlds.com/event-info/notice-of-race/. The main concern was the safety and confidence for people to travel and book their accommodation.
The positive news is the 23rd Hobie 16 Worlds will go ahead. We are working now with our hosts to transfer your accommodation to the new dates. This is being done seamlessly in background to ensure your accommodation booking is secured. The same will apply to those that have entered. Your entry will be transferred to the new dates.
The website is open, and the new dates applied. You can and we suggest you do book your accommodation and enter as all will fill up fast with the new confirmed dates 15-29 September 2022.
