Today we continued exploring the first level of Koto Ryu.
We started with O Gyakku. Ferry emphasized how the principle of Musuko is essential for a correct application of this kata. He then applied the technique with ken, jo, hanbo and jutte, as always demonstrating the connection with weapons.
Next we did Hosoku, Koyoku (a break, not a throw!) and finished with Sh*to

First episode of the Koto Ryu series today. Ferry went deep into the basics of the basics of the basics.
He demonstrated 3 versions of Yokuto, then 2 Iai applications and 1 Kenjutsu application of Yokuto.

Today Ferry covered the remaining kata’s of the Shoden Level of Gyokko Ryu. He demonstrated the connection with sword: using the Hanebi principle in kenjutsu, using the Keto principle in Iaijutsu.
