Friday

Speed was okay all day in the dry weather but in the last session I bent my chassis so we needed to build a new one so a little bit of stress for my mechanic

Saturday

Quali everyone was waiting on track and I putted 1 fast lap but P6 alright

Heat 1 P6>P18 DNF

Heat 2 the chassis was feeling a little weird so I was not fast
P6>P13

Heat 3 P4 but spun in the last lap P5 😢

Sunday

Superheat was so dramatic the pace was not there and also a nose cone penalty P10>P18

Final the kart was not fast and didn’t have speed but we finished P8 because in the last lap it started raining and couple of drivers went off

Repost • .lenaerts.racing Our reality is that we can't participate in many races throughout the year. But we typically select the Kick Off to measure ourselves against EU top Rotax drivers which are typically present in this race. This enables us to identify our improvement areas. Getting a good qualification result was our key focus and we've worked hard throughout the last year on finding that one lap performance. And that paid off! P6 out of 33 drivers at BNL level is, for us, a remarkable result! Obviously, this made the heats so much easier. Unfortunately, we had one off-track excursion on the wet and one technical issue ruining two heats in ever-changing wet and dry conditions. Eventually we managed P15 in the final. This is below our pace because we were managing top 5-8 fastest laptimes on wet and on dry throughout the whole weekend. Improving on balancing/optimizing the heats is our biggest learning for improving the final results. With this experience in the pocket, we'll say goodbye to Rotax for now and fully focus on some X30 action! But we'll be back at one or the other occasion. See you on track!

Great speed by all our drivers, just missing some luck in the finals.

On to the final round of the ROTAX Belgium the 22nd of October and the Golden Trophy the week after!
