How to find the words to say goodbye to a home, a place of business, a sliver of paradise that has been so incredibly precious to us?
Attines was a ‘coup de foudre’ for mom all those years ago - a sentiment we, as kids, weren’t so sure we agreed with as she disappeared for most of the following year to turn (what we thought of as a Disney villain worthy abode) into our new family home and place of business.
Now whatever vision or foresight she had when she fell in love with this place - we will forever be grateful for it.
Through countless magnificent seasons Attines has been a place of childhood, adolescence and adulthood. We have grown a community here, welcomed new family members both of the human, equine and canine kind! We have lost here too. We have had a wedding and countless other celebrations with friends and family.
has flourished here, changed here but, there have also been hard moments, and now, we are on the cusp of yet another exciting change for us as a business and a family.
There is something ethereal about living in a house that is centuries older than any of us and will outlast us by centuries as well. There are rose bushes, trees and hedges planted and grown long before we got there and, in our turn we also leave behind parts that we hope will continue to grow and flourish long after we are gone - loved and taken care for by those that follow. We are but a tiny speck in the lifetime of this home that is so much more than the bricks it is made out of. We have played our parts here and now it is time to pass this along to the new owners whom we hope will treasure this place as much as we have.
Thank you Attines - you have been nothing short of magical these past sixteen years.
A special thank you to & .janeczek who have been part of our family for over twenty four years now and who are also now embarking on a new chapter of their own. We owe you nothing but gratitude and love and you will always be part of our family.
