I could shout about my success after running the half marathon this weekend in 2:03. I could say it went all smooth and fun. β But let me tell you, it was no walk in the park. I didnβt cross the finish line effortlessly.
Iβve been running my ass off for the past two years, since our youngest turned two. Every step I take is progress. Perfect? No. But isnβt about β itβs about and , again and again.
So instead of just highlighting the result, I share the journey with you.
πββοΈ βStick to the plan and trust it.β My sport coach repeats this over and over again. π‘ Success isnβt about waiting for the perfect moment β itβs about and along the way.
πββοΈ Set your goal and break it down. A half marathon is not 21 kilometres at onceβitβs every step along the way. π‘ When goals feel overwhelming, your system will freeze. But small, realistic steps keep you moving.
πββοΈ Conditions will change. Running whilste freezing throughout the winter, feeling tired βeach moment tested my motivation. I skipped runs. I doubted if all effort would make sense. π‘ But I never gave up on the bigger goal. Setbacks donβt mean failure. They mean adjust and keep going.
πββοΈ Movement creates momentum. Walking is still progress. Taking smaller steps is better than stopping. π‘ So waiting for the "perfect moment" often leads to doing nothing. The secret? Start small, keep moving, and trust the process.
