No show for All In Horses this week, so letโ€™s take a moment to look back at last weekend. On Saturday, we were once again privileged to witness the infectious enthusiasm of Jos โ€œVakeโ€ Ceulemans. The man is 81 years old, yet still as lively as a young horse and always fully invested when a family member is in the ring.

As Patrik Spits came home in the jump-off, Jos was already preparing to cheer his son-in-law to victory. And he got it right, as Patrik went on to win the biggest class of the day at Azelhof.

The world needs more people like Jos; life would be a lot more enjoyable. The younger generation could learn a thing or two from him as well. A true horseman, through and through, and a master of his craft. It was no coincidence that Paardensport Vlaanderen named him Personality of the Year during Jumping Mechelen last year.

Throwback Thursday to last week. On Friday, ๐€๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ˆ๐ง ๐‡๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ ๐‡๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž ๐๐ž๐ฌ ๐‰๐จ๐ง๐œ๐ฌ and Maya jumped to a great ๐ฌ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž $๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ,๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐—ช๐ž๐ฅ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ž ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฑ at WEC Wilmington/Ohio.

Weโ€™ll post the result of the Grand Prix soon, but in the Welcome, there were only four horses clear in round 1, and ๐จ๐ง๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐œ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ซ. Finishing less than a second behind the winning time, Maya and Hulysse had a great result.

This is further proof that hard work pays off. Itโ€™s so important to have ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐ง๐žโ€™๐ฌ ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ. The Grand Prix showed this as well, but keep an eye on our account for an update on that class.

๐“๐‡๐„๐˜ ๐ƒ๐ˆ๐ƒ ๐ˆ๐“!!! This weekend, Karl Cook and Baloucante di Luna took ๐•๐ˆ๐‚๐“๐Ž๐‘๐˜ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž $๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ,๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐๐ข๐จ๐—๐œ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐“๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐œ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š ๐•๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฒ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐†๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฑ! In what was still one of their first shows together, they were double clear and faster than Heroes Kervec, another mount by Karl. Belgian rider Christopher Megahey jumped into 3rd place.

We (All In Horses and Kristin Hardin Stables) knew these two would form a great pair, but them achieving such a result this quickly shows what ๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐Š๐š๐ซ๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ. They had already finished in a very close 2nd place in an earlier show, but now they are really taking off.

Congratulations to Karl and his entire team, and a big shoutout to the breeder, Stal di Luna, for producing this amazing mare. The future canโ€™t look any brighter, and we canโ€™t wait to see more.

The hallowed grounds of the Rolex CHIO Aachen Grand Prix: together with Spruce Meadows, this is to show jumping what Wimbledon is to tennis. Tension, disappointment, relief, defeats, victories โ€” itโ€™s all part of the sport. And in the kiss & cry area, the entire team rides every moment alongside the athlete: the grooms, owners, team veterinarian, coach, family, and everyone behind the scenes.

In this video, owners Stijn Stevens and the legendary Ludo Philippaerts, together with team veterinarian Frederik Bruyninx, follow Nicolaโ€™s round aboard the just 9-year-old Rolex ter Leydonck. Remarkably, Rolex ter Leydonck was bred by co-owner Stijn and his partner Louke Baeten.

It was wonderful to witness such genuine โ€” and yes, funny ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ โ€” emotion, weโ€™re glad we captured it. And although there was disappointment after that one unlucky mistake right at the very end of the round, there was also โ€” quite rightly โ€” immense pride in the outstanding performance of this 9-year-old horse, who has little to no experience at this level.

Throwback Thursday to the ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐†๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฑ for ๐€๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ˆ๐ง ๐‡๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ ๐‡๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž ๐๐ž๐ฌ ๐‰๐จ๐ง๐œ๐ฌ and Maya.

While Hulysse and Maya are back in the show ring this week after a month of rest, letโ€™s go back to March 28th, when they entered their first GP together. Built by course designer Leopoldo Palacios, it was, as expected, a tough course. Out of 50 horses, only 4 or 5 went clear in round 1. With one unlucky rail down, this couple was still ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ž๐ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐ญ๐ก. Once the communication is fully on point, thereโ€™s no doubt this pair will be jumping clear rounds at this level with ease.

Round 1 was completed ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ๐ฎ๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ž ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฅ๐ž, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐. After that, the decision was made not to start in the jump-off, this couple is ready for the ๐Ÿ“* ๐Œ๐š๐ฃ๐จ๐ซ ๐‹๐ž๐š๐ ๐ฎ๐ž ๐…๐ข๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ฌ next week.
