Pilates Practice is a local Amsterdam business, founded by Helga Norrby, a certified BASI Pilates teacher (MWTTC). At Pilates Practice, she offers personalised Pilates training for flexibility, fitness, rehabilitation or designed for your specific goal, at home or at a studio, as well as group classes. To ensure everybody can fit Pilates into their lives, Pilates Practice offers very flexible training hours, f.i. Private training can be booked to fit your schedule. To ensure personal attention and guidance, Group lessons aim to have 6-8 students, at the most. We use different studio spaces in Amsterdam, or visit you at your home or office. You don't need more than a space of 2 x 2 meters and Helga brings all the necessary equipment. Helga's BASI Pilates certification and teaching experience ensures you will:
- be taught according to the principles of Pilates
- Receive an assessment of your posture and posture type, as well as any postural deviations
- Receive effective exercise solutions for your body, level of fitness and possible physical conditions
- Be taught a comprehensive and safe Pilates Mat work program tailored to your individual needs
- Use small apparatus in our Mat classes to achieve optimum results
- Use the BASI® Block System to successfully progress towards your goals
- Work through the vast repertoire of classic Pilates exercises, as well as a wide range of original BASI exercises

Indeed, Pilates is not to make your stomach flatter (although it’s a rather nice side effect), it’s to make your body function (better)(at its best)!

Over three years the exercise regime took Rachel Cooke from terrible back pain to new levels of fitness. But it was a lot harder than she expected
