Here's a slightly cut down (but still pretty long) run down of our 3 teams from this weekend at Yindoors!
Crohnically Unfit Open (From captain Sam Folley) :
Firstly thank you to everyone, I never dreamed we would ever be able to take 2 teams never mind 3 teams including a women's team. You all did so well and made me so proud to be part of this team. Watching you all play a big part in every team and improve so much was amazing.
Anyway crohnically Unfit open, as always had a mixed bag of results but gelled so well by the end and smashed our games.
Some of our game highlights include holding an avalanche team to within 1 point and coming back to beat flyght on a weird universe point/buzzer be**er jump in thing after loosing to them comftably the day before.
Msp - Sam Collins
MVP - Sam Collins and Bamf
MIP- David
CMVP: This was a really difficult one as everyone played a crucial part in the team however I've decided the person who deserved an additional shout was Tom Childs. Tom only starting playing around 3 months ago and since has been improving at a ridiculous rate. He was calm, held the disc like a veteran, made the rights decisions time after time, played in every position on the pitch without any issues. He was probably our safest pair of hands and had our best pass completion rate. I don't think anyone would've have guessed he was comftably our least experienced player, well done!

Crohnically Unfit Women (From captain Emily Powell) :
What. A. Weekend. This is probably going to be a really gushy post but I won’t apologise for it.
We started the weekend strong, dominating 3 of 4 games and putting up a really good fight against Avalanche, something I don’t think any of us really expected to do. We knew that the Sunday was going to be hard without Tanya dominating the sky like a spitfire, but the girls stepped up massively and I couldn’t be more proud. Sunday was tough, we won the 3v8 but lost the next 2, the first of which through poor spirit outwith our control. We didn’t let that get us down however, finishing in 7th following a pretty dominating game showing how formidable we can be.
As Crohnies first Women’s captain, I cannot tell you enough how proud I am of this tram. Every single one of my girls stepped up and played amazing, from Holly Armitage and her magnetic hands, Emily Hird with her brilliant cuts, Hollie Compton with her incredible work rate, Tanya Fozzard with her defensive plays, Katie Bates with her ever positive attitude to Cerys Evans with her newfound talent of chase.
I am super proud to have captained this team. Here is to many more all-female Crohnies teams!!!
MIP - Cerys
MSP - Katie
MVP - Emily P

Syncrohnously Unfit Open (From captain James Leaper)
So finally from me, with a weeks notice we managed to get together the third team for this tournament. With most of us having not played with each other before we knew we were in for a tough start, made harder with Henry getting an injury in the first point of the first game.
We knew in a tough group we would not have time to adapt and learn each other’s play styles, and mistakes would be punished, but as time went on confidence grew and we knew we would have success together. By the second day we were all a lot more confident and stepped up a gear in performance. Overall a great weekend and really proud of the guys for all the effort they put in!
MVP - Jordan
MSP - Henry and James
CMVP - Henry, despite the injury he continued to play and put in a monumental effort for the team. A safe pair of hands and great decision making though out the weekend! Hopefully his recovery is not too long

Thank you to everyone who played and supported!
