Hey guys I know at this point you will expect nothing less than a long and soppy post. So here it is:

The last couple of weeks have been hard, the whole foundation of our club was built on taking the p**s out of a serious disease. An attitude I gained and shared with my cousin Danielle who sadly passed away 2 weeks ago.

You guys have always been my best friends and my biggest support network. So to take you guys my closest friend in two teams to the tournament we run, under our club name and absolutely smash it makes me so unbelievable proud.

I cannot thank you enough for everything you do on and off the pitch whether I'm being a t**t or not. I think you are all amazing!

Crohnically Unfits write up:

Now onto the actual tournmanet. What is there to say? We lost 1 pool game to AVALANCHE by one point in one the best games of ultimate I have ever been a part of. We then played tasty quarters against pink pigeons, a incredible semi against BLT to secure ourself a place in the final for a rematch against AVALANCHE. After Will had to leave and Ryan's injury we were down to an iron man team, who were exhausted and still hanging but we gave it our all and played some incredible ultimate against one of the best teams in the country.

Another 2nd place for crohnically unfit. Only loosing to one team throughout the entire weekend.

Here are our awards:

MIP - Bamf for being very unlike Bamf and not having a single bad game
MSP - Will and Emily
Best game - AVALANCHE pool game and BLT semi
MVP - Tom Sutton - nothing to say except he was incredible in every game

Stupid moment - Sam's pass to Emily when she wasn't looking
Will passing to Ryan's arse

Captian MVPs:
Our two superstar girls Tanny and Emily, playing a stupid amount of games, matching up against Avalanches guys, assisting most of the points in the final and just beeing all round superstars.

I love you, I can't wait to do it again.

Syncrohnously Unfits write up (from captain James Leaper):

Syncrohnies had another amazing tournament, super proud of how everyone played over the weekend, whilst nursing some very heavy hangovers. But will we change anything and drink in moderation in the future? Absolutely not

Here are the awards:

MVP: Tom
MSP: Toby
MIP: Tom and Helen
CMVP: Helen, gave absolutely everything in each of our games and cut teams open consistently

Most stupid moment: Ethan showing up to our final game an hour late

Love you all, and can’t wait to play again😊🎉

Thank you

Here's a slightly cut down (but still pretty long) run down of our 3 teams from this weekend at Yindoors!

Crohnically Unfit Open (From captain Sam Folley) :

Firstly thank you to everyone, I never dreamed we would ever be able to take 2 teams never mind 3 teams including a women's team. You all did so well and made me so proud to be part of this team. Watching you all play a big part in every team and improve so much was amazing.

Anyway crohnically Unfit open, as always had a mixed bag of results but gelled so well by the end and smashed our games.

Some of our game highlights include holding an avalanche team to within 1 point and coming back to beat flyght on a weird universe point/buzzer be**er jump in thing after loosing to them comftably the day before.

Msp - Sam Collins
MVP - Sam Collins and Bamf
MIP- David

CMVP: This was a really difficult one as everyone played a crucial part in the team however I've decided the person who deserved an additional shout was Tom Childs. Tom only starting playing around 3 months ago and since has been improving at a ridiculous rate. He was calm, held the disc like a veteran, made the rights decisions time after time, played in every position on the pitch without any issues. He was probably our safest pair of hands and had our best pass completion rate. I don't think anyone would've have guessed he was comftably our least experienced player, well done!

Crohnically Unfit Women (From captain Emily Powell) :

What. A. Weekend. This is probably going to be a really gushy post but I won’t apologise for it.

We started the weekend strong, dominating 3 of 4 games and putting up a really good fight against Avalanche, something I don’t think any of us really expected to do. We knew that the Sunday was going to be hard without Tanya dominating the sky like a spitfire, but the girls stepped up massively and I couldn’t be more proud. Sunday was tough, we won the 3v8 but lost the next 2, the first of which through poor spirit outwith our control. We didn’t let that get us down however, finishing in 7th following a pretty dominating game showing how formidable we can be.

As Crohnies first Women’s captain, I cannot tell you enough how proud I am of this tram. Every single one of my girls stepped up and played amazing, from Holly Armitage and her magnetic hands, Emily Hird with her brilliant cuts, Hollie Compton with her incredible work rate, Tanya Fozzard with her defensive plays, Katie Bates with her ever positive attitude to Cerys Evans with her newfound talent of chase.

I am super proud to have captained this team. Here is to many more all-female Crohnies teams!!!

MIP - Cerys
MSP - Katie
MVP - Emily P
CMVP - Cerys

Syncrohnously Unfit Open (From captain James Leaper)

So finally from me, with a weeks notice we managed to get together the third team for this tournament. With most of us having not played with each other before we knew we were in for a tough start, made harder with Henry getting an injury in the first point of the first game.

We knew in a tough group we would not have time to adapt and learn each other’s play styles, and mistakes would be punished, but as time went on confidence grew and we knew we would have success together. By the second day we were all a lot more confident and stepped up a gear in performance. Overall a great weekend and really proud of the guys for all the effort they put in!

MVP - Jordan
MSP - Henry and James

CMVP - Henry, despite the injury he continued to play and put in a monumental effort for the team. A safe pair of hands and great decision making though out the weekend! Hopefully his recovery is not too long

Thank you to everyone who played and supported!

Another day another stupidly fun tournament with my closest friends.

We just can't help beating expectations, finishing top of the 2nd bracket, beating some incredible teams along the way such as Frogs, who won the tournament but were no match for us. We also beat glucozade port, disc o'ferno, itraw x 2 and two 'intense' games against LANCHE.

Overall a great tournament loads of fun and a great performance from our Crohnies ❤️

Crohnies take Leeds!!

What a weekend! It started with a really tough pool including a strong Sheffield team and Llleeds. Due to a draw, a loss and 2 wins and being on the unlucky side of point difference we found ourselves in 11th at the start of day.

With super subs Tanya Fozzard and Sasha Squires we were ready to fight for the top half. Which quickly became fighting for top 6 and then top 4, winning games against floppy discs (6v11) and slipped discs (3v6). We somehow snuck into a semi final for a rematch against Sheffield but with our new plan and new players we dominated and earnt a surprisingly well deserved place in the final.

Leeds squirrels were incredibly stacked with multiple GB players and coaches and sadly they took the final but we played incredibly well with a very respectable score of 11-7 and once again smashed seed, expectation and made me incredibly proud to call this my team.

Thank you to everyone individually for wanting to play with us, turning up, smashing it and just being all round top people. Thank you to the people who live streamed our games and the people who watched them and supported us.

Our first final and first silverware!

Well done to our joint mvps Tanya, Sam and Ryan Harris.

And our joint MSP's: Alex Bamford, Ryan and Sam

Thank you! I love you all!
