The Belgian Bowl 2026 has officially been awarded to Mijnstadion Beringen — right here in our home region.

This is more than a game.
It’s a celebration of our sport, our fans, and the growth of American football in Belgium. And now, the biggest stage of the year lands in a stadium built for atmosphere, intensity, and unforgettable moments.

Terwijl we de laatste dagen van 2025 afronden, willen we iedereen bedanken voor jullie inzet, energie en support. Samen hebben we opnieuw bewezen wat onze community zo bijzonder maakt — één team, één familie, on & off the field.

We kijken ernaar uit om samen een nieuw seizoen te bouwen vol groei, plezier, prestaties en onvergetelijke momenten. 2026 wordt ons jaar — samen maken we het groot.

On Saturday, November 29, Waterloo hosted the 2. day of the BAFL Flag Football Championship under harsh late-autumn conditions. Cold temperatures and frequent rain showers made the field progressively muddier and more difficult to play on as the day went on. Despite the challenging weather, the U15 squad of the Limburg Shotguns delivered an outstanding performance marked by discipline, resilience, and explosive playmaking.

Game 1: Shotguns vs. Charleroi Coal Miners.

The Shotguns opened their tournament with an immediate highlight. On the very first snap of the game, the Limburg defense jumped a pass, secured an interception, and returned it all the way to the end zone for an early touchdown. This big play set the tone for the rest of the matchup.
Even as rain made the ball slippery and footing uncertain, Limburg’s offense executed with confidence and control. Their defense continued to play strong against the Coal Miners, who managed only to score through an interception on a 2- point conversion. With dominance on both sides of the ball, the Shotguns rolled to a commanding 42–2 victory.

Game 2: Shotguns vs. Bruges Broncos.

By the second game, the field had deteriorated noticeably due to continuous rain, making every step and cut more difficult. Still, the Shotguns’ defense delivered another dominant performance, applying relentless pressure on the Broncos’ quarterback, who struggled to cope with both the conditions and Limburg’s aggressive rush.

On offense, the Shotguns remained sharp in the worsening weather. They consistently beat the Broncos’ defense with well-timed deep balls and impressive catches, showing remarkable focus and ex*****on despite the slick surface. Their receivers adjusted well to the muddy field, finding ways to create separation and secure the ball cleanly.
The Shotguns’ controlled, disciplined play resulted in a flawless 46–0 shutout.

We want to thank the Waterloo Warriors for hosting the tournament day on their home field. We also want to thank the families of our players for their ongoing support and involvement !
