🏅How much of yourself do you give to becoming one of the best in the world?

For Hanne De Vet, the ambition is clear: becoming one of the best without losing the person behind the athlete.

In our latest Classified film production, Hanne reflects on ambition, balance and why becoming one of the best should never mean losing the person behind the athlete. Link in bio! 🍿

Cycling can sometimes make it feel like there’s a certain way you’re supposed to look, behave or present yourself to belong.

isn’t particularly interested in that.

For him, authenticity also means showing the moments that aren’t polished. The frustration, disappointment and emotion when things don’t go the way you hoped.

“If someone wants to judge me for that, then f**k them. It’s real. It’s how you feel. It shows you care.”

Not everything has to look good all the time.

Sometimes showing that it doesn’t is the more honest story.

How do you know where your limit is before you’ve crossed it?

As athletes, we’re constantly encouraged to push. To descend a little faster, train a little harder and find out what our bodies are capable of.

The problem is that the line between adaptation and too much isn’t always visible.

“You don’t know how much your body can do until you’ve gone over the limit.”

Toby Perry reflects on one of the hardest contradictions in competitive sport: finding your limits without knowing exactly where they are.

đŸšŽđŸŒToby Perry used to be disappointed with second place.

Then he finished 13th at his National Championships and crossed the line happier than he had after some of his wins.

After months of not knowing whether he would be able to race properly again, simply being at the front, finishing the race and feeling like himself on a bike meant something entirely different.

Sometimes progress changes the way we define success.

And sometimes 13th can mean more than first.

What happens when you know something is wrong with your body, but you can’t prove it?

After Unbound, went from some of the best form of his life to getting dropped in race neutrals, struggling on café rides and even finding stairs difficult.

Tests followed. Answers didn’t.

Unlike a broken bone, there was no X-ray telling him what was wrong or when he would be better.

“You wake up every day thinking maybe it will be better, or maybe it will be worse.”

For Toby, that uncertainty became a mental battle of its own.

When does pushing your limits become pushing too far?

It’s a question athletes rarely have a clear answer to.

In Episode 3 of Classified Connects, gravel racer Toby Perry joins Kirstine Frida Rysbjerg in Girona to talk about what happened when his body suddenly stopped allowing him to perform at the level he knew.

The conversation moves beyond results into the uncertainty of injury and recovery, the mental challenge of redefining success and the pressure athletes can feel to always appear strong.

Toby also reflects on authenticity in cycling and why he chooses to show the difficult moments rather than only the polished ones.

A conversation about performance, identity and finding your way back.

🎬 A new learning curve.

For the past 18 months, Cormac Nisbet has been learning what it takes to transition from road cycling into triathlon.

Now, racing in the professional field, he feels like that learning process is starting all over again.

“Racing in the pro field is almost a completely different sport to what I’ve been doing so far.”

It means new competitors, new demands and a new level to adapt to.

But for Cormac, that is part of what makes this next chapter exciting. After choosing to leave professional road cycling and build a career in triathlon, there is still so much to discover about where this path can take him.

đŸ§˜đŸ»â€â™‚ïžIt’s only when you try that we find out where you stand.
In any pursuit in life, but perhaps especially as athletes.

There is something about stepping into the unknown. The intensity. The waiting before the start. The questions you can’t answer until you’re out there.

A new race. A new discipline. A new level.
A chance to test yourself, to be humbled, and to discover where you are, not where you hoped or imagined you might be.

Because sometimes moving forward means becoming a beginner again.
Our latest film follows that moment.
