So what happened last night was truly heartbreaking. I thought about the match whole night and came to some conclusions :
Remember that Tug of War match from Squid Game? They said every team needs an anchor who always has the team's back and a leader who will stay in the front and lead. Well cricket is no different than Tug of War it's a game of back and forth too. And our batting line up lacks an anchor who can sail our team to victory. Shakib, Mushfiq and Mahmudullah all have the capability to play this role but they're going through some tough form. Our team also lacks a leader in the batting line up who will open the innings and utilize the powerplay properly. We all know that Somya and Liton are good players but enough is enough it's high time we bring a change.
Although our bowling was okay in that match but still there are some issues. Mustafizur Rahman isn't really getting any support from the other end in the death overs. Taskin Ahmed bowled brilliantly in the powerplay but I think his type of bowling doesn't suit the death overs. We should stick to him at the powerplay and middle overs and use Saifuddin and Mustafizur Rahman in the death overs. The spinners bowling was fine.
My opinion about the batting line up :
Well Liton and Shomya aren't really working so we should definitely bring Naim back and with him we should send someone to open who can utilize the powerplay. In this case Mahedi Hasan is not a bad choice. In the past we saw his batting. We can even try Shamim Patwary we know he can hit the ball big but he's main problem is he can't time the ball and can't find the gaps. But in powerplay he could be really handy. As Shakib Al Hasan is going through a really bad form with the bat Mahmudullah Riyad could come in number three. We really don't have much options to bring a change in our batting lineup. But we desperately need someone in our batting order who can play the role Tamim Iqbal played in the past years.
Lastly I think Bangladesh team has the capability to make a comeback if we can fix our problems. In Sha Allah we will bounce back ❤️🇧🇩.
