খালিদ মধ্যবিত্ত ঘরের সন্তান, পড়াশোনা করে নামকরা একটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে। দেখতে সুদর্শন বলা যাবে না তবে মানানসই। সারাদিন বন্ধুদের সাথে ঘোরাঘুরি করে না অন্য সবার মত বরং বলা যায় কম্পিউটারই তার জগত। সারাদিন ফেসবুক আর ইয়াহু নিয়ে পরে থাকে। একদিন ফেসবুকেই পরিচয় ঘটে এক মেয়ের সাথে। মেয়েটির নাম রিমি, দেখতে প্রচণ্ড সুন্দরী। ফেসবুকের ছবি দেখেই ভাল লেগে যায় খালিদের। প্রথম প্রথম চ্যাট এ হাই হ্যালো এবং একসময় শুরু হয় সারাদিন চ্যাট। চ্যাট করতে করতে খালিদ রীতিমত নাওয়া খাওয়া ভুলে যেত বলা যায়। দুজনই একে অন্যের সাথে শেয়ার করতে থাকল সব কিছু, তবে সবই চ্যাটে। একদিন খালিদ রিমির ফোন নাম্বার চেয়ে বসল, রিমিও তার নাম্বার দিল কিন্তু শর্ত ছিল তাকে ফোন দেয়া যাবে না। এরপর শুরু হল তাদের টেক্সট এ কথোপকথন। সারাদিন একে অন্যের সাথে গল্প করত টেক্সট করে। ধীরে ধীরে তাদের ভালোলাগা রূপ নেয় ভালোবাসায়। অল্প কিছুক্ষণ যোগাযোগ না হলেই তারা পাগল হয়ে যায় এমন অবস্থা।
একদিন খালিদ চাইল রিমির সাথে দেখা করতে, কিন্তু রিমি রাজী না। সে খালিদকে বলল আমার সাথে দেখা হওয়ার পর যদি আমাকে তুমি ভাল না বাস? অবাক হয় খালিদ। তবু জোরাজুরি করতেই থাকে, কেননা রিমিকে দেখার, তার সাথে সামনাসামনি কথা বলার অদম্য ইচ্ছে তাকে পেয়ে বসেছে। অতঃপর একদিন দেখা করতে রাজী হয় রিমি। নির্ধারিত দিনে খালিদ মনে অনেক আশা অনেক স্বপ্ন নিয়ে হাজির হয় আগেই ঠিক করে রাখা একটি রেস্টুরেন্টে। দূর থেকে রিমিকে বসা দেখেই চিনতে পারে সে, প্রচণ্ড ভালোলাগা নিয়ে এগিয়ে যেতে থাকে তার দিকে। এমন সময় দেখতে পায় রিমি অন্য একটি মেয়ের সাথে কথা বলছে, কিন্তু ইশারায়!! আরও কিছুক্ষণ দেখে খালিদ বুঝতে পারে রিমি আসলে কথা বলতে পারে না। হঠাৎ করেই খালিদের পৃথিবীটা যেন ভেঙে পরে। কি করবে বুঝতে না পেরে দেখা না করেই চলে যায় খালিদ, বন্ধ করে দেয় রিমির সাথে সব যোগাযোগ।
