So, I’m finally off on my travels 🌍 — and part of this journey includes doing some charity deployments.

One thing I’d planned long before leaving the UK was to start with a deployment here in Bangladesh 🇧🇩. Some of you might remember I originally wanted to cycle tour across Bangladesh, but that didn’t quite work out — so here I am instead!

The first deployment is now complete 🙏🏽 (a few pictures above 👆🏽 — more coming soon). It’s been such an eye-opening experience, especially since this is where my roots are.

We worked on several amazing projects — from street children and women in brothels, to children born in brothels, an eye clinic, and a few other community initiatives. I’ll be sharing more about each of them soon, insha’Allah.

Insha’Allah, if I can, I’ll add a few more charity projects along the route and share them as they come together — depending on funding.

So… I finally did it. Took the leap and went off travelling ✈️
Here’s me — one bag on the front, one on the back, and yes… definitely overpacked. 😅

And yeah, I know — this isn’t the best picture of me 😬
But let’s be honest… anyone who knows me knows I take awful photos. You could probably make a whole book out of my horrendous ones 😂

This post was meant to go up a while ago because I’ve actually been on the road for a month already! Started off in Albania, wandered through the mountains, made my way down to Greece, and somehow ended up all the way in Bangladesh🇧🇩 ( well this part of the trip was planned 😅)

Took a year out — not exactly sure what I’m doing with my life right now, but I guess I’ll figure it out along the way. I’ve been overthinking posting this (as usual 😅), but honestly, I just want to document where life takes me.

For someone who once had their whole life “planned out” as a teen — from medicine to engineering — it’s funny how in my 30s (and heading towards 40), I still don’t really know what I’m doing. 😅

So yeah, come along for the ride — a year of travel, faith, and figuring life out, one country at a time 🌍✨

I’ve been wanting to do this for ages…

So many times I tried to organise it, and it always fell through.

One of my friends even invited me years ago… but at that point I was too heavy, and there was no chance they’d let me on. Even this time, I thought I might still be too heavy!

Then COVID came along, cancelling paragliding, and later my friend and I tried again but could never get the dates right.

I’ve actually been trying to book this since February this year! I wanted to find a female instructor, but there were delays, then she went on leave, and of course, the weather kept getting in the way. But finally—I got on!

After a long wait at the centre, I picked the 15,000 ft jump (or “feets” as I kept saying—measurements make no sense to me 😅). Later, I Googled it—4,572m! Pretty much the height we got to on the K2 Basecamp trek 🙈.

When it was time, I was shaking—and honestly, my instructor (Archie) basically threw us out. No chance I was jumping alone 😅.

At one point, I didn’t even notice the signal to let go of my hands 🙈. The free fall was the best bit! The gliding was beautiful with the views, but unfortunately it triggered my motion sickness 🥹. The drive back was horrendous, and it took me another five hours to feel normal again.

Huge thanks to for the experience—and I’m still glad I went for the 15k drop 😅

I really need to start posting on my feed again! Here’s the story of my first attempt at planning and going on a self planned cycling tour... The plan was to train and prep, but, well, life happened!

I started off in Inverness, heading towards Oban, with the idea of cycling 50-60km a day. I mean, I’ve done 70 miles in a day before, so it didn’t seem too ambitious. But throw in luggage, relentless rain, and the reality of long-distance touring, and it became quite the challenge!

Day one brought a nasty fall (still recovering from it!), and from there, it truly became an adventure. From tire punctures to chains falling off, getting terrified of steep declines, and everything in between... it was an experience I won’t forget!

People often ask me why I wanted to lose weight. For the longest time, I thought it was about health or aesthetics. But deep down, my real motivation has always been about living—embracing adventure and not being held back by limitations. When I started as a personal trainer, I assumed weight loss would be my focus. But I quickly realized my passion lay in helping people break through their own mental barriers, try new skills, and discover joy in doing things they never thought possible.

Now, did I cycle the entire route? Nope. I ended up hopping on a bus for some stretches. But I didn’t quit, and that’s what matters. One thing about me? I’m clumsy as heck, and honestly, it’s a miracle I’m still standing 🤣.

So, here’s my message to you: go try something new. Embrace the journey, even if it doesn’t go as planned. Life’s too short not to chase adventure!
