BSSP gratefully acknowledged contribution to all the authors, editorial boards members and official of the journal. Our next step is to enrolled the journal to BanglaJol and other search engine.

I am honoured to share that the Bangladesh Journal of Pain (BJPain) has received an official recognition from the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) in February 2026.
Bangladesh Journal of Pain (BJPain) is the official organ of Bangladesh Society for Study of Pain (BSSP). The present title carries the heritage of its initial name ‘Pain Journal’. The new title and cover designed was approved as BJPain in the year 2022.

Under the leadership of our mentor, Professor KM Iqbal and national and international pain researchers and educators, the new journey was begun in the year 2022. The cover was designed by Professor Manzare Shamim, the renowned anatomist of BMU.

The milestone reflects the collective dedication, hard work and commitment of our editorial team, contributors, reviewers to support the pain teaching, training and research in Bangladesh.
I personally grateful to all of the contributors, editorial team members, BSSP members and well-wishers for their hard work to make it possible.
My heartfelt gratitude to all of you and render your support to develop BJPain as the best tool to disseminate the new insight of clinical research to pain management.

BSSP are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 27th BSSP Pain Congress, to be held at Hotel InterContinental, Shahbag, Dhaka, on 12–13 April 2026.

This academic congress is designed to provide participants with:
• Updated, evidence-based clinical knowledge
• Practice-oriented and examination-focused discussions
• Learning opportunities guided by experienced faculty members

🔹 Seats are limited and will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Early registration is strongly encouraged.
