Sabur Khan founder and chairman of Daffodil International University (DIU) elevated Bangladesh’s presence in global academia through his participation as a distinguished speaker at the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) Semi-Annual Conference 2026. The conference was held in Vilnius from April 29 to May 1 and brought together university leaders from across the world.

During the event, Dr. Khan met with Regina Valutytė, Vice Minister of Education, Science, and Sport of Lithuania. Their meeting built upon an existing relationship dating back to 2019, when Dr. Valutytė visited DIU as Vice-Rector of Mykolas Romeris University. This continued engagement reflects a strengthening academic partnership between the two institutions and their respective countries.

Dr. Khan delivered a keynote address titled “Leading with Integrity: Ethical and Inclusive Leadership in a Global Context,” where he emphasized the importance of ethical governance, inclusive leadership, innovation, and future-ready education systems in navigating the evolving global higher education landscape.
