মালয়েশিয়ার কুয়ালালামপুরে অনুষ্ঠানরত ২১ তম দাতো আর্থার তান মারদেকা ওপেন দাবা চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপের পঞ্চম রাউন্ডের খেলা শেষে আন্তর্জাতিক মাস্টার মোহাম্মদ ফাহাদ রহমান ৫ খেলায় ৪ পয়েন্ট নিয়ে পয়েন্ট তালিকায় ১০ জনের সাথে মিলতভাবে দ্বিতীয় স্থানে রযেছেন। আন্তর্জাতিক মাস্টার মনন রেজা নীড় ৫ খেলায় ৩ পয়েন্ট পেয়েছেন।
আজ (বুধবার) চতুর্থ ও পঞ্চম রাউন্ডের খেলা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। আজ স্থানীয় সময় সকালে অনুষ্ঠিত চতুর্থ রাউন্ডের খেলায় আন্তর্জাতিক মাস্টার ফাহাদ ভিয়েতনামের গ্র্যান্ড মাস্টার ইয়েন ডাক হোয়াকে ও আন্তর্জাতিক মাস্টার নীড় ভারতের আন্তর্জাতিক মাস্টার কে, রত্মাকরনকে পরাজিত করেন।
বিকালে অনুষ্ঠিত পঞ্চম রাউন্ডের খেলায় আন্তর্জাতিক মাস্টার ফাহাদ সিঙ্গাপুরের গ্র্যান্ড মাস্টার সিদ্ধার্থ জগদিসের সাথে ও আন্তর্জাতিক মাস্টার নীড় ভারতের ফিদে মাস্টার গাজওয়া অঙ্কিতের সাথে ড্র করেন।
৫০ তম জাতীয় ‘বি’ দাবা চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপের ঢাকা সিটি অঞ্চল-১ দাবা প্রতিযোগিতা
বাংলাদেশ দাবা ফেডারেশনের আয়োজনে ৫০ তম জাতীয় ‘বি’ দাবা চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপের ঢাকা সিটি অঞ্চল-১ দাবা প্রতিযোগিতার কোয়ালিফায়িং রাউন্ডের খেলা আগামী ১০ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০২৬ বৃহস্পতিবার বেলা ৩-০০ (তিন) টা হতে বাংলাদেশ দাবা ফেডারেশনের ক্রীড়া কক্ষে শুরু হবে। এবারের ঢাকা সিটি অঞ্চল-১ দাবা প্রতিযোগিতাটি বাছাই ও চূড়ান্ত দু’টি পর্বে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। বাছাই পর্বে অনুর্ধ্ব-১৮০০ রেটিং ও রেটিং বিহীন খেলোয়াড়রা অংশগ্রহণ নেবেন। বাছাই পর্ব হতে শীর্ষস্থান প্রাপ্ত ২০ জন এবং যাদের রেটিং ১৮০০ হতে ২০৯৯ পর্যন্ত তাদের নিয়ে চূড়ান্ত পর্ব অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। চূড়ান্ত পর্ব হতে শীর্ষস্থান প্রাপ্ত ১০ জন খেলোয়াড় ৫০ তম জাতীয় ‘বি’ দাবা চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে ঢাকা সিটি অঞ্চল-১ হতে অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ পাবে। ঢাকা সিটি অঞ্চল-১ দাবা প্রতিযোগিতার বাছাই ও চূড়ান্ত পর্বে অংশগ্রহণে আগ্রহী সকল খেলোয়াড়দের আগামী ৬ ই সেপ্টেম্বরের মধ্যে পাঁচ শত টাকা এন্ট্রি ফিসহ নির্ধারিত লিংকে নাম জমা দিতে বলা যাচ্ছে।

21st Dato’ Arthur Tan Malaysia Open Chess Championship-2026
Bangladesh International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman is jointly placed second in the standings after five rounds of the 21st Dato’ Arthur Tan Malaysia Open Chess Championship 2026, is now being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. IM Fahad has scored 4 points from five games and shares second place with 10 other players. Another Bangladeshi International Master Manon Reja Neer, has scored 3 points from five games.
The fourth and fifth rounds were held today (Wednesday). In the fourth-round games held in the morning, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman defeated Vietnamese Grandmaster Nguyen Dak Hoa, while IM Manon Reja Neer defeated Indian International Master K. Ratnakaran.
In the fifth round, played in the afternoon, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman drew with Singaporean Grandmaster Siddharth Jagadeesh, while IM Manon Reja Neer drew with Indian FIDE Master Gajwa Ankit.
After five rounds, Fahad remains among the leading players in the tournament with 4 points.
Dhaka City Zone-1 Chess Tournament of the 50th National ‘B’ Chess Championship
The Bangladesh Chess Federation is organizing the Dhaka City Zone-1 Chess Tournament as part of the 50th National ‘B’ Chess Championship. The qualifying round will begin on Thursday, 10 September 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Sports Room of the Bangladesh Chess Federation.
The Dhaka City Zone-1 Chess Tournament will be held in two stages: the Qualifying Stage and the Final Stage. Players rated below 1800, as well as unrated players, will be eligible to participate in the Qualifying Stage.
The Final Stage will consist of the top 20 players from the Qualifying Stage, along with players rated 1800 to 2099.
The top 10 players from the Final Stage will qualify to represent Dhaka City Zone-1 in the 50th National ‘B’ Chess Championship.
All players interested in participating in the Qualifying and Final Stages of the Dhaka City Zone-1 Chess Tournament are requested to register through the designated link by 6 September 2026, along with an entry fee of Tk. 500
