Lionel Messi, born on June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Argentina, showed immense talent for football from a young age. Despite facing health issues early in his life, he joined the Newell's Old Boys youth team. At age 13, Messi relocated to Barcelona, Spain, after the club offered to pay for his medical treatments.
