পবিত্র Ramadan সংযম, সহমর্মিতা ও আত্মশুদ্ধির এক মহিমান্বিত সময়। এই বরকতময় মাসে আমরা মহান সৃষ্টিকর্তার সন্তুষ্টি অর্জনের উদ্দেশ্যে বিভিন্ন ইবাদত ও মানবসেবামূলক কাজে নিজেদের নিয়োজিত করি। রমজানের অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আমল হলো ইফতার, এবং একজন রোজাদারকে ইফতার করানো অত্যন্ত ফজিলতপূর্ণ ও সওয়াবের কাজ।

হাদিস শরীফে বর্ণিত হয়েছে, Muhammad (সা.) বলেছেন:
"যে ব্যক্তি কোনো রোজাদারকে ইফতার করাবে, সে ঐ রোজাদারের সমান সওয়াব লাভ করবে, তবে রোজাদারের সওয়াব থেকে কিছুই কমানো হবে না।"
- (Jami` at-Tirmidhi, Sunan Ibn Majah, Sunan an-Nasa'i)

এই মহান শিক্ষাকে সামনে রেখে GPL Foundation এবং Glory Production Ltd. যৌথভাবে পঞ্চম বারের মতো আয়োজন করতে যাচ্ছে “৬ষ্ঠ ইফতার বিতরণ কর্মসূচি ২০২৬”। এই মানবিক উদ্যোগের মূল লক্ষ্য হলো সমাজের অসহায় ও সুবিধাবঞ্চিত মানুষের মাঝে ইফতার বিতরণ করা এবং পবিত্র রমজানের আনন্দ সবার সাথে ভাগ করে নেওয়া।

On 25th November (Monday), Time 04:30 PM, A massive fire broke out in Dhaka’s Korail slum, once again highlighting the ongoing vulnerability of the capital’s largest informal settlement to such emergencies.

According to residents, the blaze began in the early evening and quickly swept through the densely packed tin-shed homes, intensified by dry weather conditions and highly flammable structures. Within minutes, the fire engulfed extensive sections of the area, forcing thousands of families to escape with whatever belongings they could manage to carry.

Fire service teams responded promptly, but the narrow pathways and congested layout of the settlement created significant challenges, slowing down their efforts to bring the situation under control. Witnesses recalled scenes of panic as families rushed for safety, while the night sky glowed with the fierce light of the flames.

Although the exact cause is still being investigated, authorities have assured that a detailed inquiry is underway. This tragic incident serves as yet another reminder of the persistent fire risks faced by Korail residents, many of whom have endured repeated losses due to similar disasters over the years.
