Also GMMSC CHESS CLUB is not dead. It's a casual exam break. We will be back soon. Apologizing for no updates and the promises we couldn't keep.

Lets meet, Ian Nepomniachtchi (that's a tough name to pronounce)

The man who lost 2 Chess Championship Finals (Highest title of competetive chess). One of the most underrated Super GM. Any chess player or GM cannot be unluckier than him. Even today at CTT finals, he was in a completely winning position. He did 5 blunders in a row causing him the match and cutting his chance for showing up for another title. He had a mental break down for 17 mins after the game.

Gukesh D is now the youngest ever world champion of chess. He is only 18!!

He managed to beat China's Ding Liren in a very close fight. As, Ding left chess for a year after his championship win he did put a great show against the youngstar.

Congratulations to Gukesh and his coach GM Shrinath Narayan from India for their incredible performance.

World Championship update‼️

After Round 8 both player are at 4 points
They made 6 draws in 8 games. If they make more draws GMMSC CHESS CLUB should respectfully get the title as ding and gukesh are not in mood of winning.

In game 8 ding had a winning position but he didn't realize even after the post match interview.

With 6 more rounds to go, gukesh is the fan favorite at this points. Will India win their 2nd title?
