Well guys, many of you came to support us on the field today and already know the story. But for those who couldn't make it, here's what happened.
First of all, to my team — you guys were absolutely brilliant today. You made Heliogravure shine like a star. Everyone who came to watch enjoyed a fantastic match, and our two super-subs combined to make the impossible possible by scoring the only goal of the game.
Now, let's talk about the other side of the story.
I honestly don't know whether to blame our luck or the committee for repeatedly putting us in these situations. Let's talk shortly about what we experienced today,
Linesman 1:
I'm not even sure if he knows the basic rules of football. Yet somehow, he was chosen for such an important match. He struggled to identify offsides and foul throws, but still made questionable decisions with complete confidence. Due to his foolishness, the whole match was ruined.
Linesman 2:
The committee already knew we had issues with him in previous seasons, yet he was again assigned to our match. Whether that was intentional or not, I don't know. But somehow he possesses superhuman vision and able to spot handballs and fouls from miles away. And apparently, he can even influence decisions by saying things like, "Penalty te gele khela moja hoibo re."
To our beloved seniors:
Not a single player from our team used disrespectful language or behaved inappropriately. Yet whenever things go against us, we're reminded about "brotherhood," "bonding," and the "beauty of the tournament."
in previous season, when our opponents' goalkeeper got injured, we were requested to allow an khep goalkeeper saying "this is a game of bonding and brotherhood ." We agreed, and eventually lost the match in penalties after an extraordinary performance from that very goalkeeper.
This season, after another controversial decision, we were once again told, "Wrong calls are part of the game."
Maybe they are.
But why does it always seem to happen to us?
Anyway, this was supposed to be our final participation in this tournament. Many of our players have already moved abroad, and we wanted to give them one last memorable run together. Unfortunately, thanks to committee and questionable decisions, that farewell did not end the way it should have.
Still, I'm incredibly proud of this team.
Goodbye and good luck, boys. Keep your heads high, because nobody truly defeated you in this tournament. You fought, you earned respect, and you made Heliogravure proud. 🔥💙
Heliogravure signing off. 🫡
