And that’s a wrap on Open RCT Barcelona 1899 – Sarajevo 2026! 🎾

What a beautiful way to close the tournament,with two exciting singles finals and a very special story.

In the girls’ singles, Zana Perić from Serbia claimed the title after defeating Raya Markova from Bulgaria in the final, while in the boys’ singles, Igor Perić from Serbia defeated Mikolaj Solarz from Poland to take the title.

And the sweetest part of the story,Zana and Igor Perić, brother and sister, both became champions! What a way to make this tournament even more memorable.

Huge congratulations to all the winners, finalists and every young player who stepped on court and gave their best. Thank you to everyone who made these days in Sarajevo full of great tennis, sportsmanship, friendship and unforgettable moments.

On the evening of August 11, we proudly opened the 30th edition of the Open RCT Barcelona 1899 – Sarajevo 2026 Tennis Europe Tournament for young players.

A special honor was given to Mr. Damir Džumhur, who officially opened the tournament and brought a special touch of sporting excellence to the ceremony.

We were joined by Mr. Samir Avdić, Mayor of the City of Sarajevo; Mrs. Anita Vlašić, Advisor to the Minister at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sport; Ms. Olha Lazarchuk, Development Officer for Europe at World Tennis; Mr. Haris Kafedžić, President of the Organising Committee; and Mrs. Zehra Obarčanin, President of the Organising Committee.

The evening unfolded in a fantastic sporting atmosphere, filled with positive energy, inspiring messages and genuine support for the young players. Our guests shared words of encouragement that reminded everyone why tournaments like this matter,giving young talents the opportunity to compete, grow and dream big.

A memorable evening celebrating tennis, young talent, friendship and the future of the sport.

Today, Sarajevo hosted the press conference ahead of the 30th Open RCT Barcelona 1899 – Sarajevo 2026, bringing together representatives of the tournament, sport and the local community.

Kenan Magoda, Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, Haris Kafedžić, President of the Board of TK Tenis Pro 1996 and tournament and Tea Kovačević, winner of the 28th edition, spoke about the importance and legacy of a tournament that has been part of Sarajevo’s tennis story for three decades.

Minister Magoda highlighted the tournament’s exceptional reputation, calling it “perhaps the most important tennis tournament in Bosnia and Herzegovina” and emphasizing the importance of stronger institutional support.

For nearly 30 years, the Open RCT Barcelona 1899 – Sarajevo has welcomed thousands of talented young players from across Europe and beyond, many of whom went on to achieve remarkable success on the professional tour.

Among the tournament’s former participants are 🇧🇦 Damir Džumhur, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most successful ATP player, 🇧🇦 Mirza Bašić, ATP Tour champion and Davis Cup representative, and 🇷🇺 Daniil Medvedev, former World No. 1 and US Open champion.

These are just a few names among the many players who have competed on the courts of Sarajevo. Who will be the next future champion? 🎾
