📣 Balkan Stars in the making secure spot to compete at U18 European Championships

🏐 The second-round qualifiers for this year’s and were completed on Sunday, confirming the teams progressing to the Final Round later this summer in Italy and Latvia/Lithuania.

🔥 The Balkans are set to make a big impact in the U18M competition, as Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey powered their way through the qualifiers to reach the Final Round.

💥 On the women’s side, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Greece will proudly represent the Balkans among Europe’s elite in the U18W Final Round.

👉 Competing in different groups, the U18M Balkan teams 🇷🇴 Romania, 🇬🇷 Greece, 🇹🇷 Türkiye, 🇷🇸 Serbia and 🇲🇪 Montenegro begin their journey toward European Championship qualification❗️

👉 In the U18W category, Balkan teams 🇷🇴 Romania, 🇬🇷 Greece, 🇧🇬 Bulgaria and 🇲🇪 Montenegro will also compete for a place at Europe’s top tournament ⚡️

⬛️ Commemoration held at “Rajko Mitić” Stadium, Aleksandar Boričić laid to rest at Central Cemetery in Belgrade

▪️A commemorative gathering in honor of Aleksandar Boričić, former volleyball player, coach, president of the National federation of Serbia and of the European Volleyball Confederation, was held today at the Media Center of FK Crvena zvezda at the Rajko Mitić Stadium.

🎉 Montenegro to make history by hosting CEV EuroVolley 2028 Men pool phase🏐

👉 The CEV Board of Administration accepted earlier this week the application of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro (OSCG) to host the pool phase of the CEV EuroVolley 2028 Men.

🇲🇪 This decision represents a historic moment for Montenegrin Volleyball, as well as for Montenegrin sport as a whole.

⬛️ IN MEMORIAM - Aleksandar Boricic, first BVA and former CEV President ⬛️

⚫️ It is with very deep sadness and sorrow that the European Volleyball family has learned that former CEV President Aleksandar Boričić passed away on March 4 in his native Belgrade following a short illness.

▪️ As a former player and coach, President of the National Federation of Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro, Serbia, CEV President from 2015 to 2024 as well as 2nd FIVB Executive Vice-President, Mr Boričić literally lived and breathed Volleyball throughout his entire life.

📣 Macedonian men’s National Team – Most Successful National Team in the “Athlete of the Year 2025” Election Одбојкарска федерација на Македонија

▶️ The Macedonian men’s volleyball team is the best national team in the “Athlete of the Year 2025” election, the traditional sports event, which was held for the 71st time and organized by the Ministry of Sports and the Union of Sports Federations of Macedonia.

👉 Numerous athletes, sports legends and representatives of national sports federations were part of this major sports event, attended by the Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, Minister of Sports Borko Ristovski, line ministers and representatives of local self-government.
