marine life. Now is your chance to have a beginners lesson with our introductory Discover SCUBA Dive shore excursion in Aruba! This SCUBA diving excursion is geared from the non-certified, beginner with no experience who would like to see what diving is all about. You will be safe and secure under the profession supervision of the PADI certified instructors. The meeting point for this discover SCUBA diving shore excursion in Aruba is just a 10 minute taxi ride from your cruise ship's pier. There is the option for anyone in your group who would like to go along, they may either hang out at the beach location where your Discover Scuba Dive shore excursion will be held. Your professional and friendly dive excursion staff will get your checked in and the fun underway. They will first give you an instruction and orientation about diving and your gear you will be using (about 45 minutes). You then will put on your dive gear and practice using it in the shallow, waist-deep water off the beach, your instructors will make sure you are ready. Then you will board the dive boat and head out for your first real one tank dive! The PADI/NAUI dive certified and highly trained diving excursion instructor will be by your side the entire time. As soon as you reach Pedernales ship wreck, you will be amazed at the colorful and amazing marine life swimming around the coral formations.The waters around Aruba are filled with dazzling marine life.The clear, aqua blue water is warm and your maximum depth will only be 25-30' down.You will spend approximately 30 minutes underwater. When your beginner discover SCUBA dive shore excursion is completed, you will surface with your dive instructor and return to the boat. We have a maximum of 6 divers per Dive Instructor to guarantee personalized service and safety! When your DSD (Discover Scuba Diving) is completed, the boat will return you to the beach. You may enjoy your Occidental Grand All Inclusive Day Pass (if purchased) with open bar, all you want buffet, all the resort facilities including swimming pool, lounge chairs on beach and by pool, pool games and activities, indoor game room activities and much more. If you do not purchase the Occidental Grand All Inclusive Day Pass, you may stay at the beach and return to the ship at your leisure and expense when you wish. There is a restaurant on-site to purchase drinks, sandwiches, coffee, etc. There are other activities and shore excursions on-site you may book in advance so others in your group may choose different activities such as parasailing, jet ski, bicycling, Flyboard, Kayak, Hobie Cat Sailing, and more.
