✨🌊Underwater, the world goes quiet. Your mind softens, your problems dissolve, and everything returns to zero… and in that silence, you finally remember how good it feels to just breathe 🧘‍♀️

🛬🌊You usually see planes in the sky… but underwater, they tell a completely different story.🤙😎
Very close to the shore of the small Renaissance Island, at around 14 - 23 meters deep, you can find a Convair 240 aircraft that was confiscated from drug traffickers in the late ’80s. Local authorities sank it to create an artificial reef. Although its remains are visibly damaged, 🌪️Hurricane Lenny tore it apart in 1999—it remains an unmissable attraction for divers visiting Aruba. 🤩The cockpit and several sections of the fuselage are still in acceptable condition. The airplane door, the staircase, one wing, and the landing gear still rest nearby. You can even swim through the interior of a large fuselage fragment in just a few seconds.

Finding two lionfish together is a reminder of why this invasive species needs to be controlled. 🐟🌊
✨In Aruba, the CLA leads efforts to protect the reef, promoting responsible removal to prevent lionfish from displacing native fish.
Hunting them here means protecting the balance of the sea.

🌊⛴️A 190' cement freighter sitting upright on the bottom in 90' of water. The wreck attracts lots of schooling tropical fish and large barracudas.
It was a Venezuelan cargo ship built to transport cement, but its story took a different turn when it was intercepted for drug trafficking. An attempt was made to confiscate it in the late ’80s, and it eventually ended up on the seafloor, becoming one of Aruba’s most fascinating dive sites

Everyone's heard of the barracuda 🌊🐟and with good reason.
It’s one of the fastest predators on the reef, capable of reaching speeds up to 43 km/h, and it relies on its razor‑sharp vision to spot prey from a distance.
Even so, most of the time it’s just patrolling calmly, observing, and helping maintain the balance of the ecosystem
