is a community-oriented swimming club, which offers a year round comprehensive swimming program. Friday Night Club Nights are held every Friday during Term 4 and Term 1, starting at 6.00pm. All children who are members of the club are entitled to swim.

🐍💙💛 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR QRSS SWIMMERS!*💛💙🐍

A massive shoutout to all past and present Electric Eels who competed at the 2026 Queensland Representative School Sport (QRSS) Swimming Championships this week. Your hard work, determination, and team spirit continue to inspire our whole club.

And we have BIG news…

🏆 THE EELS HAVE A NEW QUEENSLAND CHAMPION!🏆
Tommy stormed home to win GOLD in the 100m Breaststroke, plus added a BRONZE in the 50m Butterfly and 2 SILVER medals in the relays. What an incredible achievement.

Huge congratulations to Tommy and Coach Gary — an outstanding team effort that reflects dedication, belief, and countless hours in the pool.

We’re so proud of every Eel who represented their school and our club on the state stage. Keep chasing those goals, Eels. The future is bright. 💙💛

🏆 Electric Eels Trophy Presentation Day – RSVP Now!🎉

We’re wrapping up the season with a celebration for all club members and every swimmer who’s competed in at least one Club Night will receive a trophy!

📅 Sunday, 29 March
📍 Chermside Bowls Club (468 Rode Rd, Chermside)
🕑 Festivities kick off from 2:15pm
🍰 Afternoon tea and nibbles provided

👉 Please RSVP by this Sunday to help us finalise catering and seating — even if you’re unable to attend.

📣 EESC Club Championships – Now Live in SwimClub App!🏊‍♂️

The Electric Eels Club Championships are happening this Friday, 20 March from 6pm at Zillmere State School pool.

✅ The meet is visible in the SwimClub App.
✅ Qualified swimmers are automatically entered into the events they’ve qualified for.

🔍 Can’t see your swimmer in the meet?
This means they have not qualified under the eligibility criteria outlined in the Club Handbook (pages 10–12). If you believe your swimmer should be eligible, please contact the Race Secretary promptly at [email protected].

❌ Unable to attend?
If your swimmer has qualified but cannot attend, please notify the Race Secretary so they can be removed from the meet.

🏆 Points Trophy Reminder
Every swimmer who has registered and competed in at least one Club Night will receive a points trophy at Trophy Presentation Day – regardless of Club Championships qualification.

Hi Electric Eels 💙💛
Due to the unpredictable weather conditions, along with low volunteer numbers and fewer swimmer nominations, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel Club Night for tonight.

As always, swimmer safety is at the heart of every decision we make, and with the current conditions, we can’t confidently run a safe and enjoyable event.

Hey Electric Eels! There’s a lot of rain and possible storms predicted for tomorrow, so we’re keeping a close eye on conditions.

If the weather becomes unsafe to hold Club Night, we’ll post updates right here and send out an email to all members.

Electric Eels Shine at the 2026 Brisbane Sprints 🏊‍♂️⚡

Electric Eels pride was on full display at the 2026 Brisbane Sprint Championships! over the weekend. 💥

Tommy lit up the pool with two golds 🥇🥇(breaststroke and butterfly) and a silver (backstroke), Harrison secured a Top 10 finish 🔟, Natalie, Lachlan and Caelan powered through to win their heats, and Lily brought her trademark determination to every race. It was also a special occasion for Lilly and Lachlan as 1st timers on the blocks at the Chandler Pool.

A huge points haul for the Eels in Division 2 🐍💙, and brilliant momentum as we head towards the Brisbane Junior and Senior Metropolitan Championships in late Feb and early March.
