Hi all, this years Presidents Handicap was a great success. Nine squads of shooters turned up to see who could get their name on the JIM KELLY perpetual trophy. The weather was cool, overcast but kind that the rain stayed away. Rod Jackson from Yarrawonga shot the possible in the handicap from way out at 22 meters and with that his name is etched on the trophy. Rod also picked up the days High Gun, a great effort all round. We combined the high gun with Cosgrove, which shot on Sunday and Angus Ferguson from Wangaratta took home the combined award.
Thanks to all who came and had a shot and all those to turned up for a fantastic day out.
Thanks to all of you who helped keep the day happening and a special thank you to Gerri Murphy who ran the office solo.
The kitchen provided everyone with a delicious assortment of food that the players and supporters really appreciated. Well done girls.

Next shoot is the Murphy – Wilson Memorials shoot on August 29th.

Hello again all shooters and friends, St James Gun Club has its annual PRESIDENTS HANDICAP event coming up on Saturday the 30th of May at 11.00am.
Come and try to have your name placed on the trophy next to some past greats.
St James Gun Club and Cosgrove Gun Club have a combined high gun award sponsored by NORTHERN VIC AMMO. Shoot the program at St James then shoot the program at Cosgrove on Sunday 31st and your combined scores could win you a slab of shells kindly donated by NORTHERN VIC AMMO.
Canteen will be open serving world famous burgers and treats.
Practice is available before event starts.

On a sunny Saturday we had our rescheduled January shoot. 46 shooters took on the layouts with some great scores made. It was wonderful to see some new faces and many familiar ones. With near perfect conditions the possible was made on a few occasions.

Travis Williams from Colbinabbin had a big day out securing the High gun sash with 143/145.

Thanks to Gerri and Carmen in the office and the Kelly gang in the canteen, the chicken schnitzels were a big hit!

Thanks to all who helped out during the day and to all who came and had a shot.

The club raised over $1400.00 for BLAZEAID, funds going towards bushfire recovery in the area. Well done everyone, fantastic effort.

WE'RE BACK ON.
Hi all, after the cancellation of our last shoot due to extreme temperatures we will be rescheduling to the 14th of March 11.00am.
The program is the same, the canteen will be fully stocked with delicious food and treats.
The club will be donating and collecting funds on behalf of BlazeAid following the Longwood/Yarck bushfires.

Hi all, our first shoot for the year is coming up on Saturday 31st of January.

The club will be donating to local charities involved with the bushfire relief following the Longwood/Yarck bushfires.

At this stage (Sunday 25 Jan) the forecast is for hot weather on Saturday 31st.

We have installed water misting fans around the clubhouse and will have iced water available for all.

We will be monitoring the weather early next week and will announce on Wednesday 28th whether the event will go ahead.

Please check back on Facebook and/or MCMS app to see if the shoot will take place.

Have a great Australia Day and we hope to see you.

Hi all,
The crew at St James Gun Club put on another great day on Saturday.
Eight squads formed up on a slightly overcast and mild day.
Christmas cheer was up and about with some shooters dressing up to mark the occasion.
Meat trays, hams, puddings and chocolates were the prizes of the day with just about everyone taking something home.
Thanks to all who came and made the day special.
Thanks to our President Stephen Murphy and all in the committee who have done so much at the club this year.
Big thanks once again to Gerri and Carmen in the office, Jane and Janet in the canteen and all who put the effort in to keep the days rolling.
We will be back early next year on the 31st of January 2026 for our first shoot.
Have a safe and relaxing Christmas/New Year break and we are looking forward to seeing you again next year.
