The day was smooth running, with sunshine, great targets and a 3.15pm presentation.

Saturday 18th May saw 141 participants enjoy a great day with a variety of targets with the Yarra Valley turning on a beautiful day.

After a couple of months off we were able to present the 2025 Yarra Valley Field and Game branch champion to Julian Quinn. There were a couple of very close contenders and we looking forward to see who takes the prize this year.

Saturday was a massive day and we couldn’t have done without the generosity of volunteers who helped with set up, on the day with grounds & desk and pack up. Thank you all!

May 16 will be 75 targets. See you there

Great day at Yarra Valley Field and Game on Saturday with 141 shooters on the ground. Massive attendance!
To put it in perspective, the national average across Australia this weekend was 61.4 shooters per event — so we were running at around 130% above that yesterday.
We absolutely respect the numbers other clubs have had this weekend as well, all clubs have done extremely well, especially as they are run on volunteers, — we were just fortunate to see more than expected on the day.
With a field this size, our focus was on working as efficiently as possible to get everyone through safely, fairly, and finished as early as we could.
Appreciate everyone’s patience and support — it was a big day and a great reflection of strong participation in the sport.

We wait with anticipation for duck season opening 18th March. Unfortunately this means we will not be holding our monthly shoot as it falls on opening weekend. Our committee and volunteers are avid hunters so will be out chasing ducks. See you 18th April.
