We are very excited to offer Play On! Sports Vouchers!

Next steps are to watch this space for the Yelarbon Cricket club Blast program - we will release the registration link shortly on PlayHQ.

In order to redeem Play On! vouchers
- Check eligibility online
- Log in using your personal account, https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding/playon
- On the ‘Home” page, click ‘Redeem Voucher’
- Follow the steps to claim your voucher/s

Apply for a $200 Play On! Sports Voucher to use towards your child’s sporting activity with a registered activity provider.

Good luck ladies! We are very proud and excited to see 3 of our Yellowbetties (Jess, Tegan & Meg) represent the DDSWQ team at the end of this month.

DDSWQ Open Women’s Team 🏏

History will be made at the end of August, with the inaugural DDSWQ Open Women’s Team taking the field at the SQCC Carnival.

This exciting team brings together a group of players from across the Darling Downs and South West Queensland region, representing the growing strength and opportunities for women’s cricket in our region.

Congratulations to all the players on their selection. We wish the team all the very best as they take the field for the first time.

We are incredibly proud to see DDSWQ represented at Open Women’s level and look forward to watching this group create a little history of their own! 🏏💚💙

Almost half way through our term of Cricket Coaching at Yelarbon State School. The kids have been so enthusiastic each week and are enjoying developing their cricket and ball handling skills each week. Thanks to the support of Queensland Cricket and Cricket Australia in supporting the club and coaches in delivering the sporting schools HPE style cricket program.

This program will feed nicely into our after school blasters sessions next term. So watch this space for registrations and Play on Vouchers!

We are proud to be working with Yelarbon State school and introducing the kids to the game of cricket.

With a successful blast last year Yelarbon is excited to see the kids out on the oval again next term.

Please fill out the expression of interest form below so we can gauge the best afternoon to run the program to maximise participation and volunteers.

We encourage players from the five South Queensland Country Regions (DDSWQ, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast, SEQ and Gold Coast) to put themselves forward and be part of this exciting opportunity to represent their region, connect with fellow cricketers, and contribute to the continued growth of women’s cricket in our communities.

Our Aim
The SQCC Women’s Community Cricket Carnival aims to:
• Provide representative playing opportunities for community cricketers.
• Promote and strengthen female participation pathways within cricket.
• Foster connections and development across the regions.
• Deliver a rewarding, inclusive, and competitive carnival experience.
Who Can Apply?
Players who:
• Are currently playing in a community cricket competition within your respective zone
• Demonstrate strong sportsmanship, commitment, and a positive attitude.
• Are available to participate in the carnival 29th and 30th August 2026
Selection Considerations:
• Current participation and performances in local competitions.
• 15+ years of age and not playing 1st grade QC Premier Cricket
• Team balance and representative requirements.
• Commitment to team preparation, training, and expectations.DD

The Weekend locals put on fishing comp earlier this year and after getting the locals together they continued their support throughout the Yelarbon community. We can't thank them enough for their contribution to the club. Organisations such as themselves and our sponsors are how we can continue to offer our community and club members high quality equipment and opportunities to get more out of cricket each season.

The Weekend Locals is a Queensland-based not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting small rural communities. Through social events and community gatherings, they bring visitors into country towns to help support local businesses, clubs, pubs, and community groups. Their goal is simple: create great weekends, showcase what regional towns have to offer, and leave a positive economic and social impact wherever they go. Every event is focused on bringing people together, supporting locals, and helping rural communities thrive.
