We have 3 synthetic grass courts. Currently applying for grants to install 4 Pickleball courts. The club was formed as the Yass Lawn Tennis and Quoits Club in 1898 and was previously located right next to the hospital where there was just one court. The club moved to its present site, Fifield Lane, with a new clubhouse built in 1928-9 and 5 clay/loam courts
Today there are around 20 playing members who meet every Saturday afternoon for a few hours of social but competitive tennis. Unlike other courts around Yass, the surface is ‘loam’. It is most similar to the clay courts that you would see at the French Open. The current Club Captain is Kerry Foran who can be contacted on 0416 096 860. Ruth Parker is Vice Captain on 0414 895 798.
