🚤 Volunteers Needed – Club Fundraiser! ♻️

We’re looking for a few athletes and their parents/carers to help collect bottles and cans at the boat races next weekend (April 17, 18 & 19).

We need volunteers for short afternoon sessions on:
• Friday
• Saturday
• Sunday

This is a great, easy way to support the club while teaming up with our local Scouts 🙌

If you can lend a hand, please comment below or send us a DM with your availability, and we’ll be in touch with more details.

📣 ATTENTION LITTLE ATHS FAMILIES 📣

Due to the very wet weather we unfortunately have to cancel this evenings meet.

This decision is a hard one to make as it was to be the final time we met to finish of a wonderful 2025/2026 Season of Athletics.

As a committee we understand that there are lots of eager athletes awaiting PB medals and recognition for their efforts.
Please note that there will be a email correspondence later today addressing this and how we will navigate every athlete receiving their respective award.

The committee thanks you all for your commitment and support this season and we look forward to a bigger and better 2026/2027 season of athletics.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Little Athletics is back! 🎉

It’s our first week back for the year tomorrow and we can’t wait to see everyone again!

A few friendly reminders -

📅 We have 5 weeks to go, finishing on March 2nd.
🚗 Friendly reminder to parents: please park in the car park first. Let’s work together to keep Woods Rd clear and safe for everyone.
🌭 BBQ and icy poles will be on as normal.
⏰ See you all at 5:00pm!

The committee has made the tough call to cancel this evenings meet, due to the forecast winds and weather.

We are sorry to do this, especially in our final meet of the year.

We wish everyone safe holidays and look forward to seeing you all back in February!

Happy Monday everyone! ✨
With the wild weather rolling in today 🌧️, we’ve decided to give tonight’s meet a little rain-check.

The good news is we’ll be back together next Monday for our second last meet of the year! 🎉

☀️ It’s finally time to put the jumpers away as the weather is heating up.

We understand that tonight’s forecast is hot, however we will still go ahead as planned.

A few reminders to help get through -

💧 bring water bottles with you, we have plenty of bubblers to refill at.
🧢 ensure all athletes are wearing SunSmart hats and sunscreen.
☀️ take breaks and utilise the shade that we have under the hay shed.
Icy poles will be available at the end of the evening to help refresh.
BBQ is back on as normal.

🚗 Further to this, can all parents please use Orr St parking before using Woods Rd.
We appreciate your understanding in this and our commitment to safety for everyone.

Monday evening we celebrated Coles Community Round!

The weather may not have been kind to us (thank you to everyone who still came out in it) however everyone still brought their best and we saw some great splashes of red around the track and field!

📣 Best Dressed 📣

Peter Richardson donned the banana suit and brought great joy to many kids!

Patrick Wordsworth came out in red and caught everyone’s attention!

Great work to you both and thank you for celebrating so enthusiastically.

It was another great evening of Aths and we awarded many athletes with their first PB award for the season. Great job all! 🥉
Keep striving for PB’s to get that silver medal.

See you all next Monday for another fun night of track and field. 🤩

While the weather may not be ideal Little Athletics will still go ahead tonight and we will celebrate Coles Round.

Parents ‼️ there will be no BBQ tonight. Bananas and icy poles available.

⭕️ Coles Community Round! ⭕️

This coming week’s meet is extra exciting as we celebrate our invaluable sponsor, Coles.

We all love the bananas that they provide every week 🍌

props and a selfie frame are available for athletes to use, and Coles will keep an eye out for images on Facebook!

We encourage all athletes to come dressed in their best gear! Pop on a red t-shirt, colour your hair, add red accessories or even red runners! Get creative 😉

We will have prizes for Best Dressed as well as some novelty events.

See you Monday on the track dressed in red!

Open Day Results 🖤💜💛

This season we have already had members travelling lots of kms to represent YMLAC and themselves.

On Oct 25th @ Murray Valley (Finley) Dalia Rose competed and placed in three events.
70m - 1st🥇
100m - 1st🥇
200m - 1st 🥇

On Nov 9th @ Deniliquin, Dalia Rose competed and won multiple medals. What a stellar tally!
70m - 1st 🥇
100m - 2nd 🥈
200m - 3rd🥉
400m - 2nd 🥈 and a PB

We thank and congratulate all athletes and their families representing us as a centre. ⭐️
