The Gold Nugget Camp will be held at Selkirk Stadium, Ballarat, on Wednesday 23 September, from 9:30am–4:00pm.

➡️8 week Round Robin Comp starting October 6th/8th and finishes 24th/26th November.

🟣𝗪𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗡 - Tuesday nights from 8.15pm for first 4 wks, then earlier games from 6.30pm for the last 4 weeks.
ONE exception - During Melbourne Cup week, the women's games will be played on a Wednesday night.

🔵𝗠𝗘𝗡 - Thursday night from 6.30pm

➡️Register Individually (you will be placed in a team)
or Part of a Team (Teams of 7/8 players required). Indicate this on rego form.

➡️Fees $81.62 YMBA Player Fee + $48 Basketball Victoria Insurance Fee for 18+ (If due - valid for 12 months) + $5.50 Basketball Australia Game Development annual levy (If due - valid for 12 months).

➡️Team singlets supplied. Players to wear black shorts with no pockets.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Amelia has officially passed her A Grade Referee accreditation!

This is a HUGE achievement and one that takes plenty of hard work, commitment and knowledge of the game.
To earn her A Grade badge, Amelia travelled to Wodonga to complete the course across four sessions, where she was assessed on the highest level of games in Wodonga.
To pass, Amelia needed to achieve over 90% accuracy on her calls, while also completing a comprehensive theory component covering advanced refereeing techniques, before finishing with a theory exam.

What an incredible accomplishment...Your dedication to developing your refereeing and continuing to challenge yourself is something to be incredibly proud of.
We can’t wait to see where your refereeing journey takes you next.

We are excited to announce that YMBA will have the opportunity to enter Boys and Girls teams in the U10 age group at a few local tournaments throughout the rep season.

To be eligible to play, the athlete must be born in 2018 and must be registered with YMBA and playing in the current U10s domestic comp.

At this stage, the tournaments they will be attending are:
🟢 Wangaratta: 10 -11 October 2026
🔴 Shepparton: 5 - 6 Decmber 2026
🟡 Mansfield: Date to be confirmed (usually in March)

Basketball Victoria is calling aspiring country athletes to the Phase 2 State Development Program (SDP) Trial Camps for Women.

Whether you're already involved in SDP or looking to break into the program, this is your chance to showcase your talent, challenge yourself, and continue your basketball development.

The Australian Sports Commission Local Sporting Champions (LSC) program provides financial assistance for coaches, officials and competitors between the ages of 13-18 in state, national and international championships, who meet the criteria outlined in the link below.

Grants of up to $750 are available to successful applicants to put toward the cost of attending their championships.

Round one applications are closing next Monday 31 August.
