THIS SATURDAY WILL BE A HUGE DAY AT TIGERTOWN

This Saturday, our A Grade side takes on Taren Point Titans as one of our great club men reaches a remarkable milestone.

Stew Mills will play his 150th game for the Yarrawarrah Tigers.

A Tigers junior, Stew returned to the club in 2026 and became the driving force behind the creation of our inaugural A Grade side. Through his leadership, determination and countless hours behind the scenes, he helped turn the dream of senior football at Yarrawarrah into a reality.

Following our first A Grade game earlier this season, his teammates summed up his contribution perfectly:

“A Grade simply wouldn’t have happened without him.”

There’s plenty happening this weekend with Tigers teams in action across Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday sees a full day of junior footy before our Open Men take centre stage against Taren Point Titans at 3:30pm.

Sunday belongs to our League Tag teams, with all grades in action including Opens, Over 30s and Over 35s, plus a local derby clash against Engadine.

Whether you’re playing, volunteering or cheering from the sidelines, get down and support the orange and black.

🧡🖤 50 GAMES – DANIEL, UNDER 10’s TACKLE🖤🧡

This weekend Daniel from our Under 10’s Tackle team celebrates his 50th game for the Yarrawarrah Tigers.

Quiet and humble away from the footy field, Daniel is a very different proposition once the whistle blows. A powerful ball runner, he often takes four or five defenders to bring him down and at times looks like he doesn’t even realise how strong he is.

While his running game always catches the eye, his development over the past few seasons has been outstanding. Daniel has come along in leaps and bounds defensively and has built a reputation for pulling off trademark try-saving tackles when his team needs them most.

With speed to burn and a knack for making an impact, Daniel showed exactly what he can do in his most recent game, scoring with his very first touch of the football and earning Player of the Match honours.

Most importantly, Daniel is always polite, respectful and an all-round great kid who is a credit to his family and someone who always makes his teammates and the club proud.

Congratulations on reaching 50 games, Daniel. A fantastic achievement and one that is thoroughly deserved. We can’t wait to watch the next chapter of your Tigers journey unfold.

Join us on Saturday 27 June for our Comedy Night, with the option of kicking things off early with a pre-show dinner at Mike’s Grill & Bar.

🧡🖤 POLARIS HOME LOANS HOME GROUND HERO OF THE WEEK 🖤🧡

Congratulations to Simone Skelsey, our Polaris Home Loans Home Ground Hero of the Week.

As manager of our U15 Girls League Tag side, Simone is always willing to lend a hand when the club needs it.

On the weekend, after travelling with the U15s to their away game, Simone rushed straight back to Tigertown to help in the canteen. With Tigers and neutral games to cover, and many of our regular volunteers spread across the Shire, her help was greatly appreciated.

Simone wasn’t alone, with plenty of volunteers stepping up throughout the day, but her willingness to go the extra mile for the club makes her a deserving recipient this week.

🧡🖤 KORE PROPERTY GROUP TACKLE TEAM OF THE WEEK 🖤🧡

Normally this award goes to an individual player, but this week we couldn’t go past our Under 7 Tackle team.

After taking their first steps into tackle football at their Gala Day, every one of these young Tigers showed courage, determination and a willingness to have a go. For many, it was their first ever official tackle games, but you wouldn’t have known it.

The boys and girls even earned themselves a Maccas night after training. The challenge from the coach was simple: stop running into touch. The team accepted the challenge and delivered.

For their efforts, teamwork and positive attitude throughout the day, the entire Under 7 Tackle team is our KORE Property Group Team of the Week.
