I'm guessing our players were all Picked-Out from the Halftime break!🤣🤣

But they do like going for the much preferred Watermelon Hydralytes, which are usually kept under lock & key!😉😋👍

Found my way over to the Newborough Recreational Reserve for the Mid Gippsland Leagues Week 2 of the Finals on Sunday.

To say it was a Big Day in Football/Netball would be an understatement!

The day was a perfect day for Football & Netball, the venue looked a picture, the ground was in top nick as was the Netball Court👍👍

Although it was a little chilly with a slight breeze, the Sun was much welcomed, shining brightly in between the clouds, best of all after many weeks, the rain was nowhere to be seen, giving everything a chance to dry out a bit👍👍

The U13 Fish Creek Girls were 1st to start the day off against MDU, the Girls tried all game but unfortunately missing out on the win.
But they can hold their heads up high for the efforts over this Season, well done Girls👍

The U16 Fish Creek Boys followed next, the Boys showed pure grit, playing with just 16 players with no bench, the opposition (MDU) also with 16 players to make this an even contest but they had the beauty of a full bench of players for rotations, which was always going to be a hard task.

In saying that, the Fishy Boys can be so proud in the way they played, they had lead all day bar the last 10 minutes in where the MDU kicked a couple of goals to win by 4, there's always next Season to make amends👍

The A Grade Ladies over on the Netball Court took the Win, getting the Chocolates by 2 points over Mirboo North, well done they move on to the Preliminary Final at Foster next week😁👍

Note: Well done to the B Grade Netball Girls on winning their game on the Saturday, also over Mirboo North, they go straight into the Grand Final to be played at MDU Recreational Reserve on the 12th of September😁👍

With the Seniors game: The Fish Creek Kangaroos vs the Meeniyan Dumbalk United Demons, these 2 Clubs have been fierce rivals since day 1 and it lived up to another battle on the ground.

Fish Creek got out of the box quickly with 6 goals in the 1st Qtr, then it was a game of just chipping away, to their credit MDU chipped away a little more to come so close in the last Qtr but the Fish Creek Boys having other ideas made it very hard killing their run on in the last 10 minutes, stopping MDU's run, stopping their freedom to run up forward, killing off any chance for a MDU win.

So the Fish Creek Kangaroos live on for another week, playing next week in the Preliminary Final at Foster against their newly formed rivals in Yinnar.

This should be a cracker of a game, the Winner goes on to play Foster in the Grand Final.

With both Fish Creek & Yinnar being bitter rivals to the Foster Tigers, this will be a must see game, whoever Foster meets in the Grand Final, it will be full on, nothing will be left behind.

With the Loser, who will regroup, lick their wounds & try to go it another red hot go in Season 2027.

Found my way over in the Hills of Hill End, The Sun was shining brightly in all day.

The Mid Gippsland Leagues Elimination Final started off well, with the U13 Netball Girls having a very good win🦘⬜️🔻⬜️👍😁👍

Also shining brightly was the U16 Fish Creek Kangaroos Junior Boys who had an awesome win over the Mirboo North Tigers, who won their Final to continue next week for another challenge.

The Fish Creek fnc Club has a bright future ahead of it, it's s in good hands with these young men who are showing the way forward, well done Fishy Boys, congratulations!🦘⬜️🔻⬜️👍😁👍

This Saturday I had found my way over to the Mirboo North Recreational Reserve for the Mid Gippsland Leagues Elimination Final between the Fish Creek Kangaroos vs the Tarwin Sharks.

As mentioned on my previous posting this was a game that was either going to make or break, never underestimate Tarwin as they play with plenty of spirit & vigor, as does Fish Creek, plenty of passion & pride is a given with these 2 Clubs.

I had made it over earlier around 8.00am to get a carpark close to the rooms, the ground already had a decent crowd, the day had a 4 Seasons in 1 Day type of feel to it, with T-Shirt weather to Snow Jacket weather!🌞☀️🌦🌧❄️🌀❄️⛅️☀️

The Seniors are seen here celebrating their win over the Sharks, taking the Chocolates out to fight another week🦘⬜️🔻⬜️👍😁👍

The Reserve game was played earlier, with the Fish Creek Kangaroos unfortunately losing to the Tarwin Sharks.

The Reserves may have missed out on the Chocolates but there was a lot to take out of this Season for Fish Creek.

They have an excellent group to take on next Season with gutso, a good spread of players that will regroup again & go it again with some fire in the belly.

For next Season the Reserves should go deeper into next Seasons Finals👍👍

Well it could well come to this, as mentioned in the article, has been mentioned around the traps.
Could well be headed that way, with a 3 Tiered Conference of 8 Clubs each.
With the South(Alberton) the Mid Gippy and the North Gippy Leagues have been put out there, it will be interesting to see how this will work???🤔🤔

One league, three conferences.
The 'radical shake-up' being suggested for the North and Mid Gippsland football leagues.

This Saturday over at Mirboo North Recreational Reserve, I'll be witness to the Mid Gippsland Leagues Elimination Finals, with the Senior game in the Fish Creek Kangaroo vs Tarwin Sharks, it's the game to watch!

The outcome! The Winner Lives on, whilst the loser licks their wounds & looks back on what went wrong and what's needed to get it right for next Season, whatever happens, it's going to be an awesome day of Football & Netball.

Not to forget over on the Netball Court, with the Netball games on the day, there will also be plenty of rivalry going on at the Netball Courts.

So back onto the Senior & Reserves Football games, it's going to be full on, there will be nothing left behind against these 2 fierce compatants, with the Fish Creek Kangaroos & Tarwin Sharks, these 2 Clubs have been fierce rivals since day one, may it be played fair with mutual respect towards each other!

To everyone going to the Football/Netball over this weekend, may it be a Safe & Injury Free weekend to all👍👍

FAFO! The Swans have laid the Smackdown on 5 Senior Players that had screwed up Big Time for their actions last week!
Police are still investigating if charges will be laid onto these players!
Hopefully the victims in this are being cared for, due to the terrible actions these players created on the night!
