Yarragon Cricket Club A family cricket club with 2 senior teams (Div 2 & 5) and juniors (U11 and the Woolworths program)

We are a community and family orientated club with 3 senior teams (Div 1,3 & 5) and a Junior Woolworth's Blasters Program within the Warragul and District Cricket Association (WDCA). We have a fully functioning clubhouse, with full bar facilities and kitchen, offering meals on Thursday and Saturday nights throughout the season.

The Yarragon Cricket Club is deeply saddened to share the passing of Zaron Smith. The club extends our love and condolences to Zaron’s family in this difficult time.

Zaron played for many years at the Yarragon Cricket Club including the club’s latest Division 1 premiership. Zaron will always be remembered fondly for being a great person on and off the field, and for his amazing ability to play a cut shot under any circumstances - no matter how small the available angle or how many opposition fielders were placed backward of point.

For all Yarragon Cricket Club members and the Yarragon Community, Zaron's life will be celebrated tomorrow on the 9th of April 2026 at St Monica’s Church, Mt Alexander Rd, Moonee Ponds at 1pm. Following this, Zaron’s burial service will be at Northern Memorial Park Cemetery (56 Box Forest Rd, Glenroy).

For those who can’t attend in person, the service will be live-streamed.

The Yarragon Cricket Club would like to congratulate Angela Malacarne for her amazing contributions to the Yarragon Community.

The Angela Malacarne Park will be officially opened at 10:30am tomorrow. The Park is located at the heart of Yarragon, which previously held the old Yarragon Primary School.

Angela is a wonderful person that has had an immensely positive impact on the Yarragon Community for many generations.

For all Yarragon Cricket Club members and for all Yarragon locals, please congratulate Angela and her family when you have the opportunity.

The Yarragon Cricket Club would like to congratulate the Bradshaw Family (Kyle Bradshaw, Tait Bradshaw and Austin Bradshaw) for being awarded the YCC’s Best Club Person for 2025/2026.

The YCC is privileged to having some amazing families playing and volunteering within the club and the Bradshaw family is no exception.

From Kyle coaching the junior side, including his boys Tait and Austin, and then all three of them playing together in Div 5 this season, their positive impact on the club has been magnificent.

Congratulations to Laytten Smith of the Yarragon Cricket Club for an excellent season and for being awarded the YCC’s Best & Fairest winner for 2025/2026.

As coach of the club and as Div 2 captain, Laytten’s efforts on and off the season were a class above, Laytten amassed a total of 632 points. Laytten made 282 runs at an average of 25.64 per innings and claimed 18 wickets at an average of 23.11 runs per wicket.

The Yarragon Cricket Club recently held its senior end of season presentations, congratulations to all the Div 2 & 5 players on an enjoyable season.

The club would like to thank all the players and volunteers, particularly Jake Borsato, Steve Green, Laytten Smith, Jase Eastham and many others.

Div 2 award winners: Chamath Fernando (Batting), Laytten Smith (Bowling), Addison Cu***ng and Angus Kirkham (Captains award) and Ben Asplin (Coaches award).

Div 5 award winners: Kyle Bradshaw (Batting), Austin Bradshaw (Bowling), Kai Pyle (Rachael) and Tait Bradshaw (Captains award) and Tony Pyle (Duck award).

Team of the Season: Nic Blake, Dale Hill, Kyle Bradshaw, Chamath Fernando, Madhawa Sakuranga, Angus Kirkham, Jase Eastham, Austin Bradshaw, Addison Cu***ng and Kai Pyle.

The Yarragon Cricket Club recently held its junior end of season presentations. Congratulations to all players on a terrific season. Inparticular to the award winners, Tait Bradshaw (batting), Austin Bradshaw (bowling) and Tyler Aslin (Coaches award).
